ok thanks. I was trying to avoid that work of coping LOL but it looks like that would be the proper way to do it and guarantee the functions working properly. SK

RE: Training
Yes let me clarify... The DX7 is the tx that is currently flying the 450. I own the 2.4 9303. My friend wants me to buddy box my tx with his so that I can train him. So from what I am reading here I understand that my 9303 needs to be the slave and his DX7 the master since the 450 is bound to the DX7. I will use his tx (DX7) and give him my 9303. As far as trims, servo direction etc. am I to assume that since the 9303 is just slaved whatever the settings are in the master will be reflected once I depress the trainer button? Or do I need to copy (well I don't think that the 7 can copy to the 9) the settings from his tx to my 9303 for this to work properly?

RE: Training
What about the trims, etc. that are set up in my 9303 for my trex 700. Will my model's specs not factor in when that tx is in slave mode?

Training
Hello All My friend has a DX7 that he is using to fly his Trex 450. I have a DSM 9303 that I fly my helis with. He wants me to buddy box with him while he flys. How do I set this up between both controls so that I can train him? We are using the H9 p-link cable through the D.S.C port I think.

RE: YS 91 in T-Rex 700
Have another question. What are the recommended head speeds for this engine in N, S1 and S2? It is in a T-rex 700. If there are not exact numbers an approx would be good. I tacked it today and in N it is 1550. Is that on the low end for N?

Okay its alot of pages in the thread and I could not bring myself right now to read them all LOL...so I will just ask my question. How many servos are required for this bird and will a P-60SE be a tad under power for it? It does not say on their website what the specs are and I need to order some stuff. Thanks

RE: Jets and Money
ORIGINAL: u4eake I really learned a lot from flying small but fast ducted fan jets, before moving to fuel jets. Get a het-rc F-16 or similar 150-200 km/h ducted fan jet and have a go with that. Already plenty of fun and you'll learn to react quick, think ahead and to go smooth and easy on the controls. Furthermore a crash won't be so catastrophic by far. A scale jet requires perfect landings every time. There's no margin for error, cause the slightest error will cost you money, but more importantly it will cost you time to repair.
Well I took your advise and I got a Sapac T-45 EDF. I will be building it in the next week or so. I will post vids once I get it up for you guys to rate!!

I got it fixed. My THold was set to -3.5. I changed it to -1.5 and now is works fine. Before it was bring the idle RPM down. The engine wouldn't speed up, it would just quit. Thanks

YS 91 in T-Rex 700
I have a tuning question about this engine. When I engage throttle hold on my heli the engine will shut off in about 5 secs. This is a problem especially when doing autos! Does it mean that I need to richen the low end needle? The engine idles well already and I have a good trail of smoke in hover and the transition from idle to hover and to forward flight is good. I want to find out from you guys before i change any settings that are already working.

RE: Jets and Money
MR. RCWI... read the starting post again and then edit your comments!!! Not sure I follow your FACTS??!! Actually I will post it here again for you to see. Read it closely..I never implied conquering anything. "Hello Guys I have a question. If money is not an issue what is the best way to get into jets? I am not one for the look-a-like!! Like my name suggest, I like SCALE MODELS. I have flown and built a few models. A H9 Cessna 182, H9 P-51, H9 Sundowner, Aeroworks 100cc Yak, H9 Edge 540 and H9 Extra 330. I don't consider myself to be an expert pilot but I can hold my own. I have done a little aerobatic flying as you can see from the models I have had but I never got into it seriously. Is that something that I should perfect before I consider jets? Is that the natural progression or can I go from P-51 to F-14 Tomcat? Please give me HONEST answers!! SK

RE: any advise on best kit?
Are you into 3D? If not then in my opinion it really does not matter. It just comes down to what your pocket can afford. You can set up most helis even advanced 3d machines like the Rex 700 for docile everyday flying. I started with a Blade CX-2. I flew that for about 2 months and got tired of just flying in my house around the tables! LOL So I bought a 60 size x-cell with a scale Hughes 500 fuse. That was fun and actually I found it easier and more fun to fly than the blade. Flew that for a while and now I have a T-Rex 700. I am not really into 3D but Align makes some damn good kits!! Figure out how you want to progress and where you want to end up in this hobby. Then you will be able to narrow down your nitro or gas choices. Just my 2 cents

HB-7 gas conversion for T-rex 700
I would like any one with any experience with these conversion kits for the T-rex 700 to let me know if they are any good. I see now that they have one using the Saito FG-20 gas engine but that is a airplane engine. Is that advisable to use that kinda or engine on a heli? I am getting a T-rex 700 but I really want a gas engine in it. Vario is kinda out of my budget right now so if I can get a rex and convert then I will be happy.
