RE: RCGF Engines
Hey Scoubidou Where did you get the engine from and how long ago?
I bought NIB last winter from KMP.
Mine however is still a pain to get started. The choke is fully closed and it still takes between 20-30 flips to get fuel to the carb.
The only way i found to sart it from cold, is to remove the plug, inject gas directly over the piston, re-install the plug and put

RE: RCGF Engines
I burned the first tank today of gas mixed 32:1 t to play with the needle on my old RCGF 26. The engine was a pain to start and turned barely 6700 RPM with Xoar 17x8 or Mejlzlick 16x10. The high needle valve is open 2 turns and low valve has one turn. I fly at sea level. I can not use APC prop because the propeller shaft is not fully threaded with 5mm. I thing the chinees did only 2 threads on the shaft.. My goal was to spin a 17'' prop over 7.5K RPM but after what have seen, i must go with the 15'' prop. Do not know how it'll look on a 4'' spinner.. I not impressed at all. Daniel

Hello diamondave I liked the Biela 26x10 on my Super ZDZ80 and KS-95 canister better than Mejlzick 26x10. The Mejzilck 26x10 spined 300 RPM faster than Biela and it's a better 3 prop at 6700 RPM but the biela 26x10 at 6400 RPM is better IMAC/3D prop for my flying style (60% IMAC, 40% 3D). Daniel

My 35% 260 did the same thing after 150 flights. I have simply put some drops of thin CA over the stab tube to fill the gap between the tube and stab tube.

RE: USB commander replacement?
I use my sim mostly to practice IMAC and precision flying. The sticks are not broken but they have a slack at the neutral position. I can not move the sticks by 1/8''without the wanted effect on the plane. I can not screw both sticks on the commander? It looks like they are not enough long to find the bolts into the commmander or the bolts are stripped? If i pull the sticks, they come easily out of the game commander. Daniel

USB commander replacement?
Hello My lovely daughter played with the AFP commander to roughly and the sticks on the USB commander would need adjustement. Is there a way to repair the commmander or order a new one? Another solution would be purchasing a JR cable for SIM comm flight cable. What would be the best/cheapest solution? Daniel

Hi Lee i was refering to other planes (35% or 40%) than EF and. I did not have problems on smaller planes with Graphteck but it's another story with 35% and bigger planes. I broke Graphteck gears on 33% WH 260 and 35% Carden 260. Daniel

Hey Lee Did you put an aluminum landing or the stock CF gear? I have used Graphteck CF gears in the past wihtout to much success.. It seems the gear tends to delaminate a little bit after each landing and it breaks after 150 -200 flights. Whatever you do, it'll beak one of these days. I am whilling to sacrifice a few onces to get an aluminum gear. Daniel

RE: 3W-106 vs. DA100
Prob not really the answer you are looking for.. 3W106CS on 1060 Tuned pipes. 10 gallons of 32:1 BelRay H1R so far spinning a Mej 28X10 Mej at 7200rpm (6 gallons) on the ground.. 28.5 lbs Extra and I question how well the firewall is attached when pulling out of a hover... Either motor is a great performer and you really cannot go wrong either way... Rick
I am sure the IMAC judges would not like to hear your set up but it shall be great 3D combo. My DA-100 on MTW tuned pipes rip the Mejlzick 28x18 at 6700 RPM like crazy and i am looking for quiter prop. Daniel
