RE: 20 speedmaster mono
I have heard both...to put them flush, and to put them just a hair above the bottom of the transom. I had installed mine flush at first, but then moved them up a little after having more than one person tell me to move them up. I think an eighth of an inch is too much. I think you are looking for a sixteenth, or less...but wait till you get some other inputs before you start drilling. Sean

RE: Weird Performance from engine
Water does not compress too well...if you sucked in a bunch of water at full throttle, you may have bent/damaged something in the engine. Sean

RE: MISS VEGAS DEUCE TAKING ON A LOT OF WATER!!!
Make sure your cooling system is not leaking. I run with the plug removed from the rear. The boat is not made to idle around the pond, so running at speed this helps drain the water. Whether the plug is in or not, it will take on water if it stalls in the pond, so really not much of a difference there either. Sean

RE: Header extension?
You are probably going to need to find a header that exits further from the engine. Some manufacturers actually sell multiple headers at different lengths. MACS as an example Not sure what boat you are dealing with, but the original AQ header exited further from the engine that the new super tiger one. Sean
