Do revo 3.3 diffs fit in revo 2.5?
Im about to buy a new ring and pinion gear for my revo 2.5 when I saw this http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXNZW6&P=7 and wasnt sure if this would fit or not. Also I couldnt find the small ones that go inside the case. Do t/e-maxx ones fit? Dont know how bad they are worn but would like to get some of those too. Thanks

RE: Revo 2.5 rear diff problems, but no broken gears?
That actually makes sense. I accidentally touched that thing one time and it was HOT. The temp said atleast 170. Should I get the stock one or get a beefier one? Any suggestions? Thanks

RE: Revo 2.5 rear diff problems, but no broken gears?
Alright I will replace the slipper. I'll check out the rear diff again, it's skips so much it's almost stupid. I mean the noise it makes is just so horrible. And then I drive in reverse and all is good, nice and smooth and no clicking at all.... I will check it out again.

RE: Revo 2.5 rear diff problems, but no broken gears?
alright I just took apart the center tranny and there is not 1 not stripper gear, they dont even look worn. Now that I think about it, the rear diff did look kind of worn, but I dont know if it was enough to matter. Anyway I did find some broken parts near the spur gear. Dont exactly know what they are called but it was broken in 2 places and very worn. And the pinion is kind small so it doesnt mesh perfect, but it meshes good enough. I will include some pictures of the broken parts, but I doubt it had a thing to do with it.

Now I just need to figure out If the 3.3 tranny fits in the 2.5. If it does I'm buyin from tower, if not I might order from another website, although I don't know any other trust worthy sites.

RE: Revo 2.5 rear diff problems, but no broken gears?
Alright, I think I found it. It's the steel forward only conversion right? I can't find it for the 2.5 revo, maybe the 3.3 fits? And I think $100 is a lot to charge for something like that...

Revo 2.5 rear diff problems, but no broken gears?
My revo is a Revo 2.5 that has been converted to electric just so you know. Basically I traded my t-maxx for this thing and I put a mamba monster max in it. The first run it started skipping when I accelerated, and it's only gotten worse. I turned up the reverse power on my controller and started driving in reverse, it's fine and really, just hard to control. I took apart the rear of the car thinking the gears were completely destroyed, and they seem to be just fine. So what could be the problem, and is it possible to shim the diffs? Thanks

RE: Which single servo for Erevo?
Mines the a CONVERTED revo 2.5, so it only has room for one servo. If I could use 2 servos you better believe that I would, but I can't so I need a single. The conversion I have is at www.teknorc.com if you want to look at it. Thanks

Which single servo for Erevo?
I have a MMM revo converted to electric, and I've gone through 2 servos in 1 battery pack, so I am looking for a nice one. It needs to metal gear and from towerhobbies, but which brand I'm not sure. I was thinking Hitec, but I guess I could try others. Oh ya it needs to able to turn a 12 lb monster also.[:D] Thanks

RE: Have some Mamba Monster Max questions...
Thanks that helped a lot, so basically I am making an adapter that plugs inbetween the esc and both batteries? Edit: further down the page there is a battery option, which is what I was looking at.

Have some Mamba Monster Max questions...
I just got a mamba monster max in the mail yesterday for my revo, and have some questions about it. 1. How to do I wire it up for two batteries? I think I connect the positive of one dean comnnector to the the positive wire, and the negative of the other dean plug to the negative wire? And then a wire inbetween or something? I dont have a clue, pictures would help. 2. Witch color connectors on the motor go to which on the motor? 3. Will two 5000mah 7 cell ELITE batteries be enough to power this thing? Thanks

RE: aw man!
Maybe charging it at too high of amps? Whatever the mah is, the highest you should be charging a mini battery is 2 amps, even that's high.

I may not be broken, but it might stopping it from spinning, which I would tighten it up. And if it's broke get cvds.

RE: Updated info on the 1/16 Slash & E-Revo
I think minis are fun cause they are light weight which is added durability, durable, fast, and cheap. I spent 120 for my mamba 8000 on my rc18t. I spent 260 for a mamba monster max for my erevo. They get good runtimes too, they are just all around fun.
ORIGINAL: iRCHELi Does the mini revo HAVE to have 2 Batteries or can it just use one? Thank you, Kyle
I am pretty sure that the second battery box is for if you want to run your batteries in parallel, basically double the run time but still the same voltage. THe only way I am thinking that you could use two batteries in a series is if they were both like 4 cells, or if you a big QUARK monster pro in there or a MMM which can take like 25v +.

The only problem you will having with beating him when you have a 6s is that you will probably end up just flipping on your lid at low speeds.

RE: Cheap bashing batteries?
ORIGINAL: mr_pablo yea, its not a ton of money, although i am a poor student :P i will probably replace the tamiya connectors with deans after reading that they can give a slight boost.
Not to mention better performance and they wont melt together in high draw applications.

Well I just ran it, It worked really good. So good that I ended up stripping the spur out.[>:] Most likely cause of a bad mesh though.
I wouldnt get them, I would get a side by side pack instead. My 6 cell side by side performs way better then my 7 cell stick. I would get a good brand too, like Ener-g or ELITE or GP. THeres others but those are the ones I like and heard are good.
