RE: Ok what on earth is this?!
If you saw one centipede you can bet you have more. They usually come out at night when the lights are out or they show up after heavy rains, come up drains and sewers. In Michigan they are quite common and up to 2 inches long. Got up one night to get some water one was in the sink a large one, it jumped and landed on my arm and ran up my arm before I knocked it off and killed it. But I could feel that thing running up my arm for two weeks later!

Guys forget about NITROPLANES, and try TEXAS R/C PLANES, great guys to deal with anytime!! Some of the same type planes, some different, but good buys, and they care about the customer!!

RE: Hobbypeople got in my knickers
Goirish: That's very unusual for Hobby People, they usual bind over backwards to help customers. You must have got someone in a bad mood that day. You can get a brand new Magnum70 4 stroke for $139, why would they want you to pay $119 to repair one, doesn't make sense!! I have many Magnum's like yourself and have always had good luck with them, hopefully you can get this resolved. Might pay to give them another call and talk to a supervisor or someone in charge, certainly nothing lost but your time. I would ask for my engine back also, even if you don't fix it you might be able to sell it for parts, not a total loss. Just one man's humble opinion!

RE: Problem with Red Tailed Hawks in my back garden
Hoverup: You couldn't ask for a better friend than a Red Tail, if you have a Bird Feeder, soon or later you will have Mice coming by for left-overs. This guy will clean them up for you, until then he gets hungry and grabs a Dove every now and then, birds get hungry just like people do. Doves multiply alot faster than Red-Tails, I would sacrifice a few Doves anytime for a Red-Tail, I think you will too when you see mice running all over your yard. Just my opinion!

RE: Please help me do the unthinkable ...
ClearedForTheApproach: Being a single, multi, or commercial pilot doesn't cut it when flying R/C. My buddy was a ExNavy Fighter pilot, and he had a very hard time learning to fly R/C. Even after you learn, be prepared to Crash, and Repair, things happen, and practice saying (I got shot down) great excuse for pilot error! But the cheapest way to go is seek out an instructor to teach you, go to your nearest Hobby Shop they usually know of Clubs in your area. Would you have gone to the local airport and climbed into a real plane and attempt to take off and teach yourself to fly? Same principal here flying R/C, but whatever you decide, good luck!

RE: How to handle a difficult pilot!
CCCDAD, you are the Safety Officer, if the rules of the Club say you must post your AMA card, then Club members must post their AMA card to fly. I wouldn't care what kind of Radio he has. If someone shows up and doesn't want to go by Club rules then it's the Park's problem too, get them involved. As far as a flyer threatening you, then just call the police, you don't have to put up with that behavior, you are trying to do the job you were appointed to do. Hope it works out for you.

RE: OS 1.60 vs Super Tigre G2300
I have three Super Tiger's a 75 and a 2000 and a 2300, and they are great, powerful engines for the money,I wouldn't hestiate to buy another one. I have found out one thing about Tiger's they like to breath, and get fuel, I always put oversize brass lines on the tanks and oversize tubing, and oversize clunk, thanks to a OLD TIGER fan and a good friend, originally my engines would cut out after 5-7 minutes, but just that suggestion solved the problems.

RE: INSANE EDF
Isn't it a shame you can't hear the planes anymore, just loud music, if I wanted to hear music I would turn the radio on! Even when you order tapes of different events, you can't hear any of the airplanes just the lousy music! Anyways great looking jets, ok where can I get one, you got my mouth watering again. I ordered tapes of the "Reno" races once, same thing just loud music, I sent the tapes back for a refund!

Didn't we a few years back have a "Thread" or "Forum" for Rockets? I remember a few years back before the "Big" changeover a guy from Florida had some Rockets for sale, big ones. I think it would be interesting to have a "Thread" or "Forum" for Rockets, it seems more and more guy's are getting into it. And last but not least a place where they could buy and sell.

RE: Beware of greyhound!!
I think this was a rare case for PPW, I have received planes and shipped planes with Greyhound. I have never had any damage, I sure can't say that about the other carrier's I bought a B-17 and had it shipped from California and it arrived in A1 shape. Anytime I buy planes I always specify Greyhound, plus it's cheaper. Just my 2cents worth!
