Hey guys! I had a few F1's a while back. I never raced them, just had them for shelf queens really. I want to get another one now. I will probably just buy a used one and upgrade it. What is a decent price for a used F103 or F104? When I had my F1's, I remember seeing a carbon print body. I think it was from TRG, but I can't seem to find it now. Is it discontinued? Where can I find one? I also remember seeing rear diffusers. I can't seem to find many of those either. Thanks for the help!

The 18tz requires a starter box though, not sure if he wants to spend even more money. The 18CVRX is a pull start, nothing else required.

An aftermarket engine isnt too expensive. The OS18 CVRX is under $200. If you want pure speed, get an engine modified. If you want to add some power without a new engine, get a new pipe and filter. You can also change your gearing. I would go right for the OS engine, dont even waste your time with the stock engine. Pull it out of the car without using it and sell it brand new.

Go with the HPI. It might not be as fast as the 4Tec out of the box, but its an overall better car. The HPI offers alot more upgrades. I have had both cars and i still have my RS4. If you go with the HPI, upgrade the motor when you get a chance. The stock one isnt that good and doesnt hold a tune well.

I have a bunch of RC's, but I don't have too much off-road stuff. I recently sold my Savage. I have mostly on-road stuff now. If I came out and bashed, I would bring my Tamiya rally car and possibly my HPI Super Nitro RS4 Rally. I don't really like the idea of sand.

Carbon fiber isnt the best material for a nitro chassis. It doesnt let the engine cool properly. An aluminum chassis spreads the heat, the carbon fiber one doesnt allow it to spread out.

I used this flat clear on a body I did a few months back. I wanted a flat black car. I painted the inside black as you would normally. I then removed the outside film and masked the windows from the outside. I then sprayed light coats of the flat clear to the outside of the shell. I just wish the THS pipe had a bigger stinger. I have the THS pipe on my Super Nitro with an OS18 and it is so quiet.

Carboy, do you have a link to the OS pipe? Jacked, i had the THS pipe in my MT2 and i didnt really like it. The stinger is kind of small and i think that restricts air flow and power. Any other suggestions? How is the HPI pipe?

Cool, looks like a Stage D. You plan on drifting with it? Nitro isn't the best platform to drift with. To answer your question though, you will need engine mounts. HPI makes a cheap pair of silver one, but I went with the nicer purple aluminum ones from HPI. Also, is your OS engine's carb rotary?
