RE: NITROMODELS REPLACEMENT PARTS REQUEST_Post Here
I received a Dynam Bf-109 (order yhst-17210252890263-292458) and the ESC is defective. Programming the ESC did not resolve the issue (motor pulsing, cutting in and out) but fitting a different ESC of mine fixed it. There are no loose connections anywhere. Please send me a replacement ESC (Detrum 40a). Thank you.
ORIGINAL: iflyj3 I looked the other day and couldn't find it. Now, since someone located it, here is the scan of the page.
Thank you so much iflyj3! I haven't seen that picture in many years, at least now know what it looked like! They must not have made too many, I have never seen one for sale. That's odd considering I've seen multiple much older, (seemingly) rarer kits come up on eBay all the time.

Anyone have older Tower Hobbies catalogs? Hangar 1 F-105.
I have been looking for a few years now for a Hangar 1 F-105 prop jet kit with no luck. I am hoping someone might have the large Tower Hobbies catalogs from the early to mid-90's as I know it was listed in there and had a picture. Does anyone here have a catalog and can look through it for the kit? I'd love to at least get a scan of what the plane looks like, I can't find ANYTHING on this kit. Thanks!

Nope they are the same ones just white. Actually my first XB with the blue retracts came with an ungraded nose gear. This one has the easily bent wire.

Got my spare XB-70 from EasyTiger Models a few days ago and assembled it. This one came with white plastic retracts and wheels as opposed to the blue ones my other Valkyrie has. Flew it last weekend and it flies great. As anticipated it has awesome slow speed characteristics (every delta I have ever flown does). Top speed isn't pulse pounding, but considering how large it is I'm not surprised. I think I might go ahead and make the canards controllable.

RE: Astro-Flight Porterfield Collegiate ARF
Yeah I plan on adding ailerons Strat, if only because the full scale has them. I started uncovering the wing, it is nice and light. For whatever reason the wing halves are not equal, it is split right where one wing half meets the fuse side wall. It only has a tiny plywood spar, so it certainly isn't the strongest design ever. This will be beefed up some.
ORIGINAL: Ken Kehlet Hi, The Red ''stripe'' on the leading edge of the wing is actually all you can see of the Red Scollops, the same as the Fin in your photo. There are a few photos of Porterfields here: http://www.1000aircraftphotos.com/ManufacturersP.htm Also, I have the Harold Osborne Plan of the Porterfield 35-70 plus several other scale plans by Osborne. Send me a PM with your e-mail address and I'll send you my listings with prices. Ken AMA 1528
Hey Ken. So you are sure that the wing had scallops like the stab, or are you judging just by the image? I guess the horizontal stab had scallops too then. Thanks for your offer, but I am not interested in the Porterfield plan (unless it happens to show this color scheme). Thanks for your help!

Astro-Flight Porterfield Collegiate ARF
Just landed one of these. Not sure of its age, but it is a nice ARF which is rather light. It is the GP version, but I am going electric. Interesting color choice but I am going to re-cover it (and add ailerons while I'm in there). Not a huge selection of Collegiate color schemes out there, but I really like this one. I could only find this single image, any opinions on how the wings/stabs would look? From what I see I think it is just red along the leading edges that wraps around the tips slightly.

RE: ThunderTiger Rare Bear
Here is Rare Bear #2. Just need to finish up the decals. The amount and position of the sponsors varied some while it was this color scheme, so I will probably do something slightly different from the box. As I mentioned earlier this Bear has exactly zero exposed screws. The cowl is mounted internally with a ring, tailwheel hatch and canopy are glued on with Super Z56. The hatch is pinned in the front, tabs on the sides and a magnet in the back. It's way easier to get into as opposed to 34 tiny screws. I painted the spinner white since the Rare Bear never had a polished one. The canopy frame was also painted with the silver being aluminum duct tape. Exhaust shields are Krylon Chrome. Retracts are E-flite 85 degree electrics. With two 4S 5,000 mAh packs up against the firewall it seems to balance right on the money (at the panel line). Has anyone found the recommended c.g. too far aft?

RE: ThunderTiger Rare Bear
I'll jump in here. My second Rare Bear is just about ready to fly, pics to come soon. This one is electric, E-Flite Power 110, Castle 75HV, 8S 5,000's. No visible screws for the cowl, hatch, tailwheel cover, etc. Just finishing up the decals. It is the updated kit with the extra stabs. I moved the elevator servo to the tail. My first Rare Bear died after a full-throttle dive fluttered the elevators off of it. I knew it was a possibility, and I figured it was better to find out during the maiden...and I did. It had an O.S. 160FX in it. Pics of the aftermath below.
