I just need to know how to program the XP6102 for dual elevators. Everything else is running perfectly smooth.

The 9303 is running perfectly. I'm trying to get my friends JR XP6101 to buddy up with dual elevators and I can't seem to get them to link period.

Programming dual elevator servos on JR XP6102
Exactly what the title says.... I am trying to set up a friends JR XP6102 on the buddy box for my Great Planes Reactor with dual aileron servos, dual elevator servos, and one servo for rudder and throttle. I'm using the JR 9303 and so far I've got everything else programmed except these elevator servos. I've been trying to use Program Mix 4 to connect but to no avail. Anyone have some useful tips? Also, I am not using a Y connector in the airplane. Steven

RE: Great Planes Reactor GP/EP 3D ARF .46-.70
Well, over the last few days put in 5 flights in windy and still conditions. Things I've noticed ... My plane is nose heavy (so take that into considerations, along with no cowl on for right now) The plane has some coupling in knife edge, my thinking is the CG being loaded in the front along with no cowl has some effect on this, so until I get the cowl on and the new battery in place way back in the tail, I'll be using a little rudder to elevator mixing to correct for this. Another thing, was that yes, while landing, the plane does tend to nose over, although all my landings have been near perfect, I'm flying off some tall grass, the wheel pants grab the grass and slowly tilt the plane. Not a big deal and my first two landings were greased in... 2 for 5, ehh not that bad. Another thing that will improve with the CG being in the correct place. Hover was a breeze with this plane, more then enough aileron and elevator to control the plane. Flat spins suffered due to the CG being way to far forward, and as did the waterfalls. Overall the plane is a blast to fly. It can hold a line very well and I was able to do some IMAC sequences with it without too much hassle. Can't wait to get it dialed in and flying just right. Had low rates on at 60% of max throws (not sure on measurements, will get them tomorrow) and 3D rates at max deflection on all surfaces. The plane took 1 click of right aileron to level out in flight.

Thanks again guys. I put a little effort and did a search here and was able to get to it. It's all set up now, I'll let you know how it flies hopefully tomorrow if the weather holds[8D]

Dual elevator servos on JR 9303
Hey guys, I'm setting up a Great Planes Reactor with 2 elevator servos using the JR 9303. I was wondering how to link these servos together in the radio programming? I bought a Y- connector but I would rather not use it, I have the 9 ch receiver it came with so I have room to work with. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Steven

RE: Great Planes Reactor GP/EP 3D ARF .46-.70
Okay, new updates... I decided to go all out after all... well, just about, minus some carbon fiber here and there. Here is where I'm at OS 61FX Futaba 9650 Mini Digitals on ailerons Hitec 6635HB Digitals on Elevator Jr 8311 Digital Servo for the rudder (figured it would need weight in back hence the big digitals went in the back) JR standard for throttle Went ahead and bought a 7.4v 20c Thunderpower Li PO with Quark 3 amp BEC for my battery power :). All that's left to do is program the radio, finish up the cowl and throttle servo and should be flying by tomorrow! Pictures and video to come.

RE: Great Planes Reactor GP/EP 3D ARF .46-.70
Hey guys, been following the thread and trying to catch up. I bought this plane last night and got most of it together. Here is my set up... OS 61FX, standard muffler Futaba S9650 Digital Mini's in the ailerons Hitec 6635HB Digitals in the elevator JR 8311 Digital in the rudder Standard on throttle for now Running on coolpower 30% Heli fuel :) Only question I have right now is with the engine mounting. Is the motor suppose to be 4-5/16th away from the firewall or 4-15/16ths??? I haven't started cutting out the cowl yet but I have it right now at 4 5/16ths and noticed the little mishap in the manual showing two different figures. I'll have HD video and photos coming soon after the build is finished :). This thing should be a missle.[X(]

Need 11cc nitro motor
Okay, I currently am in the process of rebuilding a really nice fiberglass boat. It has a K & B 11cc motor that needs to be replaced. I'm pretyt new to the boat side, but I have flown airplanes and helicopters so it shouldn't be to difficult to pick up. I can't for the life of me find any 11cc nitro motors around for the marine boats. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I will post pictures and more information on the boat I am remodeling later this week.

RE: starters
I would recommened the Sullivan Dynatron starter. It's the absolute best starter for your heli and can handle up to 24V. I've been using one for the past few months and it's absolutely great.

I'm almost certain that is a Hatori pipe. They just did some weird weight reduction on the clamp there.

I just hit the throttle hold switch and start it up. Then when the heli is on the ground and ready to go flip the switch and hit the power.

RE: Heli caught fire-nearly burned the house down!
Yeah they are pretty sensitive in regards to abuse and charging. You need to make sure you keep them above 3.3V PER CELL with a 1 amp load applied. If you discharge them to much they can become out of balance and what usually happens is one cell goes puff and either 1) puffs or 2) puffs up then catches fire

The new Alan Szabo 3D Video is pretty good from what I hear, also you might want to buy the 2005 XFC video as it has all the best pilots from around here throwing some pretty wild flying.

RE: Hyper Rapter 50 help
I went through your troubles when I used the Quick UK Washout Base and the Metal Head. I ended up finding some pictures on runryder.net of the thunder tiger metal head and going from there. If you would like, I think I could snap a few pictures of my metal head on the raptor 50, so you can kinda see how it goes together.

RE: UPGRADES FOR 50V2
Futaba 9252 digitals Green Paddles Thunder Tiger Metal Headblock and Metal Washout base do this, and you have Alan/Danny Szabo Jr's exact Raptor 50 set up minus the different servos. edit: and the thumbs[:D]

Well they are DA, and people would buy their 75 over just about any other engine. The only competitor I see is the ZDZ 80.

RE: Raptor SE vs. Raptor V2 Pro
You might as well get the SE, but now you need to go buy some carbon blades. You can stick with the stock TT Carbons for like $70 or get a nice pair of Vblades/Radix blades for around $110 but then again you wouldnt really need those starting out.

RE: Raptor SE vs. Raptor V2 Pro
The Raptor 50 SE comes with a few extra features, such as the carbon looking windshield for the canopy, the most important feature, the Thunder Tiger METAL head, metal washout base, carbon fins for tail. The only really thing I would suggest getting is the Thunder Tiger metal head upgrade along with the metal washout base. Other then that, the other upgrades are not necessary at all.

I was talking with the Szabo brothers and they both recommened the Sab 600s for the Raptor 50 heli for all out performance, this was running the red dampers and TT metal head.

RE: Furious with Thunder Tiger's crap parts
80 degrees! It was 119 here a few days ago, 108, 109, 107, 105, 106 the past week and we are in a cooling trend to the low 100s lol. Sounds like Minnesota is the best place for you :). Average temperature there is 0 degrees. I almost have my Raptor 50V2 all bought and ready to be built. I bought the OS 50 Hyper instead of waiting for the YS 50 ST... JK Hatori pipe, Model Avionics Revmax, Futaba 9252 digitals everywhere, Futaba GY 611 (waiting for delivery :)), Thunder Tiger metal head and rotor button, tt greenies, arizona heli regulator, and li poly batteries. This should be an awesome machine from what I can see[:D][:D][:D]

RE: Furious with Thunder Tiger's crap parts
Well I hope you do get the correct mount and get that Raptor 50 in the air. I've been working my a$$ off and should have all my parts here by the end of August the get mine going. I saved a little extra to get some of the nicer items like the Futaba 601 and OS 50 Hyper with tuned pipe, I can't wait to try it out.

RE: Regulars check in HERE
My name is Steven Carroll, I am 17 years young :) turning 18 here pretty soon, going to Cuesta community college next month where I hope to begin my career in engineering. After 2 years I would like to transfer to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo (on the beach :) and either become an Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineer / Mechanical, or do something along the lines of Computer Science. I love snowboarding, broke more bones then I thought a human could possibly break, If I had it my way, I would move to Oregon with my friend who has his own house 10 minutes from Mt. Hood and become a professional, but we all know that hey in 10 years, my legs will be like jelly and I just won't make enough to support myself. So I will still enjoy it and push myself to absolutely retarded extremes, but I love pushing it to the edge. I want to sky dive when I turn 18, thats one thing I would really enjoy. I flew airplanes for 5 years, competed in all kinds of stuff, was fortunate to fly against the best pilots here in the country and really enjoyed it, however I wish to pursue that now with Helicopters and see how far that takes me, I love being diverse and multidimensional, makes you so much better I think. I have a 1994 Toyota Camry 86,000 miles on it and basically brand new, hopefully last me all through college as long as I don't do anything stupid. I am currently working my butt off as a paperboy saving up the last of what I will need to get my Raptor 50V2 flying and ready to go, I am very excited! Nice to meet you guys. I also played Tier hockey/AA,AAA Ice Hockey when I was younger as a Peewee, Bantam, and was asked to play in the Juniors in Canada, again, time, money, and commitment left me here in sunny California. I really would have loved to become a professional athlete but oh well :). Steven

Futaba GY611
Just curious if you guys are planning to release this servo sometime this month or next? It sounds like its beginning to show in Japan, but I was also wondering if you would be able to tell us waiting on the 611 what the new features are over the 601 (because I can't wait another month). Also if you can, the price of the gyro/servo combo? I've seen anywhere from $400 to $315 in the hobby shops at Japan. Any comments would be appreciated
