RE: Real Flight G5...
the last RF i had was the G2 and sold it sfter about a year. but if im reading the AD right on Towers website and from what im reading here on the threads, you can now go online and have fly-ins and combat games with people all over the world. if this is true, why would anyone complain that this is now a game and are upset over it. my god people this is gonna be great for the folks who are snowbound and cant fly in the winter much, or those that are permently homebound. if you complaing that its now a game give it to someone who like to play ~! im 45 and i still love to play ~! getting back to glow question ?
after being away from my glow plane for about 4 years i find my self having to relearn some stuff. i learn to fly on my sig senior than switched over to electrics for the last few years. i just installed a new magnum 70 4-stroke on it and started the engine break-in process by the book and after about 25 minutes of break in time, i went to restart it again and nothing. i checked the glow plug and its good. i think maybe the fuel lines came off in the tank becuase when i pulled off the fuel line to the carb and cranked the engine with the electric starter no fuel came out. am i doing this right. i dont wanna remove the tank if i dont have to. the first 10 minutes of run time it smoked heavily and vibrated pretty bad. i repeated the process 3 more times in 5 miniute intervals leaning it 1/4 turn each time. the wierd thing was i thought i would see it running a little better each time i leaned it in but it ran the same. rough and heavy smoke. any help please?

Product Recall: Spektrum DX6i Transmitters
Product Recall: Spektrum DX6i transmitters with date codes 807E, 808E, 809E, 810E, 811E, 812E, and 901E Attention DX6i Users On January 30, 2009, Horizon Hobby, Inc. issued a service bulletin for Spektrum DX6i transmitters due to a concern of potential issues with stick potentiometers. Consumers were strongly advised to conduct a test to see if symptoms of these potential issues were present. After closely monitoring the situation, Horizon has determined that we need to physically inspect all DX6i transmitters with date codes containing 807E, 808E, 809E, 810E, 811E, 812E, and 901E, including those ending in "US", "UK", or "DE". The date code will be found inside the battery compartment. If your DX6i has one of these date codes •Stop using your transmitter. •Click here to request a shipping call tag to return your DX6i to Horizon. •You may also e-mail the Horizon Hobby Product Support team productsupport@horizonhobby.com to request a shipping call tag; please put "DX6i Transmitter Recall" in the subject line and include your shipping address, daytime phone number, and the date code from your DX6i. •If you have any questions, you can call us at 877-504-0233. •Only the transmitter needs to be returned. Please remove your batteries prior to shipping. •Horizon will pay for all ground shipping within the United States and Canada. •Each transmitter will be inspected for the issue, repaired or replaced if necessary, and returned as soon as possible. We will work as quickly as possible, but we ask for your patience. •Due to the possibility of replacement, please document for your own records any model programs prior to shipping. •Inspected, repaired, or replaced DX6i transmitters will have date codes ending in "CM", "LH", "HA", or "X". No further action will be needed on transmitters with those suffixes. •Consumers outside the US and Canada should contact their local retailer or distributor. International distributors may be found here. If your DX6i does not have the listed date code •DX6i owners whose transmitters do not have the above date codes are still advised to follow the January 30th service bulletin. •As with all R/C aircraft, please check your controls prior to each flight. Horizon Hobby and the Spektrum team apologize for this inconvenience. Your safety and enjoyment of the hobby are our first and foremost priority. If you have any questions please call 1-877-504-0233.

RE: New Jump Plane
ORIGINAL: R/C Skydiver [:D] Here is my new jump plane. A Giant Stinger with the new Area 51 cc engine, all digital servos and a smoke system. That engine is powerful!!! It has been flown 6 times but has yet to test fly with jumpers. I "horse traded" [8|]my underpowered Lift Meister with the Evolution engine-didn't like flying it eitherjust didn't feel right! I will be able to drop 3 jumpers on the old Stinger and 2 with the new one and be able to circle the flag jumper with the smoke plane. Should be impressive if the pilot don't hit the flag jumper! We can't let the big boys beat the our R/C Jumpers!!! [>:]
looks like a set of floats on that stinger would be FUN on that lake behind you...[:D]

Warbird on floats ?
can anyone tell me if floats would work ok on a low wing warbird. i have a Venom Park Fighter (made of foam)and some spare foam floats and a small lake and i have been getting the itch real bad to fly off water, but i never seen floats on anything but high winged airplanes...sorry for the stupid question.

RE: phoenix models yak 54
ORIGINAL: dunahoo Hi guys I just received my Yak today!! Your posts are the reason I ordered. I’m a bit confused though, my plane has green on the bottom of the wing and only a 10oz tank, also the landing gear block looks like it’s been reinforced. Is this an older model or an update? I ordered from tower and they are willing to exchange it but will I get another one just like it? I love the plane I just wish it had a larger tank. It would take a lot of surgery to get a larger tank in. What would you do?
thats the newest version i believe... dont send it back ! upgrade to a 16oz tank if you are worried, it should fit... keep us posted please.. use your heat gun to tighten up that covering.
