RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum
Parts for sale. I will sell this stuff 50% off what they sell for on xheli. Batteries go together. Ran maybe 10 times each. I bought a blade 400 so I'm parting this one out. I have a 3 and 1 also. Tail motor is broke on that frame. I'm trying here first then ebay. nevrsumr@hotmail.com Thanks

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum
Talk about bad luck. I lost a head bearing, put my last one in, then crashed and lost both. I have no idea how both popped out without anything snapping off. I didn't notice until I took off and couldn't move. Now I'm down for a week waiting for parts. I have a blade 400 that I've flown twice but I've been waiting to get the basics down with the falcon. Oh well.
ORIGINAL: Yellow Crow That little "thingy" on the table is a capacitor. In electronics, they have several different uses. In this particular case, they are used as noise filters. This keeps the "electrical noise" generated by the rotating motor out of the rx. (well in theory anyway). Just solder it across the motor terminals along with the motor leads. Hopes this helps some. Have fun, fly safe, Jim
Hey thanks.

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum
I ordered a new tail rotor but its not the same as the original. The one that came on it has a board on the back of it and the new one has no board and came with what looks like a resistor or capacitor on it. I didn't know what to do with that and just soldered on the the new motor and it works but it's very jumpy. It sounds like its cutting on and off or maybe its just the gyro working. Any ideas on why its not the same. I ordered the part from xheli and it looks just like the one shown in the picture but its not the same as the one that came with the heli. The new one is on there and there is the little resistor or whatever on the table that the new one came with.

What would be the next step after a Falcon 40.
I've been learning on the F40 for a few weeks and tons of time on the sim. I've got hovering down and can fly around pretty well. I've got 3 batteries for it so I get some good fly time in each session. I'd like to maybe get a better performer to continue to learn on. Probably 6 channel that could do light 3D. Any suggestions? Looking to spend between $$180 and $230. Thanks.
