Need Rear exhaust Rossi
I was not aware that rear exhaust Rossi engines are out of production. If anyone has a good running , clean Rossi .60 with rear exhaust I am interested in buying one for a BPA project. Thanks[:D]

GY520 Red light or blue light for AVCS?
The GY 520 gyro shows a solid blue or red light to indicate either AVCS mode or Rate mode. The manual however, has a problem. On page 3 the manual says a solid blue light indicates AVCS mode and a solid red light is Rate mode. On page 11 the manual says the opposite. A solid red light indicates AVCS mode and solid blue for Rate mode. Which page is right? (When I get home I can check by how the tail responds)

Actually, I'm wrong. I should have included the Type I, of which only 2 were built - U-25 and U-26. Skip Asay

RE: VIIC, one or two periscopes?
"So the VIIC/41 came with one periscope?" ALL WWII German Uboats from Type II on up had 2 scopes; 1 "attack" (smaller head) and 1 "sky" search (larger head). Skip Asay

RE: help needed please forward dive planes
Well, if you're willing to deviate from scale, I would do as Dave Merriman did with the 1/72 Revell fleet boat. Just how it's operated is your call but, personally, I would use a servo. Skip Asay

Since the possibility always exists that you may have a need for that panning ability while underway, put the thruster in the stern. 'Tis better to have and not need rather than need and not have. Skip Asay

RE: Lets hear about your Thunder Tiger Neptune SB-1.
While using a bow thruster to enable camera panning can be considered a good thing, it should be pointed out that a bow thruster WILL NOT enable a moving vessel to turn better. To enable that, the thruster should be mounted in the stern. Bow thrusters will certainly cause a vessel to turn while stationary or moving astern but not while moving ahead. Skip Asay

JR 9303 problem
I have a 9303 Transmitter that I operated with 53.5 module and 649 receiver for years without any problems. To modernize my fleet I switched to the Spectrum add-on and AR 7000 receiver. Two crashes with two separate receivers !!. All batteries were fully charged and system bound with steady lights. I am wondering if there is a systemic problem with this system. These losses are getting expensive.

[:D]I replaced the heavy engine with the evolution 60. Now it is only slightly nose heavy. None the less, it flew like it was on rails.

[:D]My friend and "test pilot" along with myself used our experience to ascertain that the plane would fly just fine. We knew it was nose heavy but not TAIL heavy which would lead to disaster. Enough already!!

RE: Phoenix 7 Nose heavy
[:D]I have always had this friend test fly my planes because his vision and reflexes are better than mine. I'm 65 years old and he is better than me. Thats why!! I hope that explains my logic. No time for egos to interfere with good sense. The c/g was within tolerance for the flight. Skip

RE: Phoenix 7 Nose heavy
[: Well I had a really good pilot test fly my plane with an extremely nose heavy C/G. The plane flew surprisingly well but not good enough for precision aerobatics. That engine is a real stump puller!! I am going to install the Evo 60 NX to solve most of the problem. then start adding the lead! [:@]
