RE: Which flies/lands better? SM F18C or SM F18F?
Hey!! Congrats on the graduations!! Send them on to the next phase to keep up the good work!! So the Firebird is getting a heart transplant huh. OK. I finally finished painting Marvin's Firebird. I don't think the Mammonth will fit into this Hornet. Heck, there isn't much side clearance for the P160 as it is. The pipe would be too small for sure. You can't go wrong with the YA version! Although it is your style for vertical launches, moon shots, and global loops! (8D Well it is out there for you or anyone else interested. I'm running out of space for the trip South. btw....can you send me those flight pix you have of it? I thought I had them saved but can't find them. May have gotten lost in the transition to the new facility. Hope to do some yankin & bankin with you fellas again soon followed by some hangar flyin with some good ole' Bug Juice. I already placed another order.

Mine is still in NJ wishing for some action and you are the right guy to showcase it. Make me an offer and the two of you can can be together again in the friendly spacious skies of the best flying site in the Norht East! FARVIEW !! It is equipped almost the same as it was when I got it from you with the exception of the following upgrades: ELE servos are DS8711s, new door cylinders all the way around, Dreamworks Gear Failsafe, JMP air manifold, dual Fromeco 5200 ReLions with Sahara regulators, and a Thunder Power LiPo 5000. All you will need is a heartbeat and some motion lotion !! <8-D Holla back Yo! ~SK

RE: 2012 First in Flight Jet Rally - May 24-27
Yo Fellas. We have a traffic advisory for those coming from the north. There is road construction on Rte.95S in Richmond forcing traffic down to 1 lane. You may want to consider the Rte. 295 (?) bypass around the city. You will see signs warning of the construction zone which starts at Exit 79. Can"t wait to see everyone tomorrow. Steve, I was able to make the trip afterall and we have your Powermax, actually 6 cans. I gotta learn how to count. (8D

Hey Steve. I have some Powermax for ya, about a half case. As it stands right now, I won't be attending. I'll be sure to send it down with my wingman, Reggie Dean. Dang I feel left out already!

RE: Spektrum/JR CF receivers?
Phil, Hope to see ya again in Maine this coming Sept. !! About the carbon remotes, are they offered in DSMX or are they just compatible with the DSMX? Also, I was just watching this video by John Redman, http://www.horizonhobby.com/article/2313-antenna-placement-when-using-remote-receivers during which at the 9:57 mark he syas X numbers in the 200 -300 are acceptable on the X receivers. Am I understanding this correct? I realize I am still way off at 999 with 7 fades.

RE: Spektrum/JR CF receivers?
I have the same concern. I am running a 122iX in a SkyMaster FA/18F. My RIGHT remote recorded 999 with overall fades recorded to be 7 fades. The suspect remote is mounted with the antennas length-wise and clear of any CF. I've only flown once as it is my practice to post flight inspect the plane and fine tune accordingly. One of the other remotes recorded 455. These numbers are uncommfortable to me. I just finished scanning Horizon, JR, and spectrum web sites for more info about the X system. All I could find was intro info. So Mark, I'm on HOT STANDBY with ya on this one. please odn't feel I'm hyjacking your thread. I'm following your same concern, just different planes. Maybe the Horizon folks can publish a service bulletin or advisory publication of some kind. I feel like we are left in a position of blind faith.

RE: Horizon Hobby 2012 Air Meet
Ray, can you shed a lil more light on where we will be able to set up tents and our equipment trailers? The legend on the brochure doesn't show or at least we are unable to figure it out from the color coding. We are trying to get an idea of how much space will be available for tent rentals vs. personal pop-up tents. Can't wait to get back up there and seek & devour Lobzilla!!

SkyMaster F/A-18F question
Hey guys, your experiences and opinions please. Does the F/A-18F fly better with or without a bypass? I'm also considering a Tam's pipe as I hear his pipe offers a performance advantage. Your thoughts and comments on that are welcome too. I'm getting mine ready for the season (late start I know) and I'm kinda in a holding pattern trying to decide which way to go. Any help will be greatly appreciated! See ya on the flight line!!

Yo Fellas. My circumstances have recently changed causing me to have to cancel my travel plans. I just cancelled my reservation at the Hilton Garden Inn. Hopefully there is somebody out there that can take advantage of this. Please pass the word about the opening. I'll be watching for pix and PIREPs on RCU though! Dang... I was really looking forward to Frank's awards banquet too! Hopefully next year.
