RE: Weatronic 2.4 RF diagnostic tool
ORIGINAL: roger.alli
ORIGINAL: oistein
ORIGINAL: olecr Hi Oli, Roger and Oistein. Thank you, that you will help me in examining the logfile. I think you all are right in your assessment of the logfile. I have checked the crashed RX and the cable and see that there are no problems there now. As you said Roger, servo 2 was very active just before the crash and so was the power 5. These are the ailerons and they had fully reflected in the last seconds before the crash. This matches the experience I had when I took a split-S and did not get contact with the plane and crash ... It appears as the servo locked up and was not responding to any signals from the transmitter. I have checked the battery and Powerbox Sensor Switch and found nothing wrong. I have flown 15 flights this year without any problems so this is a big mystery .. Oli, I attach the config file and some pictures of configurasjonen. [link=https://dl.dropbox.com/u/32551076/Boomerang%20after%20crash.zip]Files[/link]
this the beauty of the system, find causes. also another guy in our club, discovered low rx voltage in flight.
I Agree.. I know I am having my problems with the Wea equipment, and have not found an exact cause of my crash yet. However, the Wea system has allowed me to narrow the investigation down to a particular set of issues. If I was using a one way system, I would still be wondering if the battery had gone flat, or a glue joint had failed.. Roger
Hi Roger... So do you have answers from Wea yet on whats going BAD...? Regards Jeremy.

RE: Galeb G2 - new jet made in Serbia
ORIGINAL: mirce The hole last week I spent to made drawings in Corel of my Galeb. For now I'm very satisfied how everything looks. Now I have many measure, and can thinking how to find solutions for problems that occur in the project. Galeb have narrower fuselage than Panther, but it's 20 cm longer. Wingspan is also bigger (you can saw that on drawings in last post). I am thinking does I maybe need bigger jet engine? I have P 80, and with it, Panther, from our grass airfield, made take off in less than 30 meter. Panther weight is 12,5 kilogram on take off... In air no need for more than 1/2 throttle for normal flying, and with full throttle it will go vertical as long as you hold it. Galeb will be bigger, but not much more heavier. I hope with fuel it will be about 13 - 14 kilograms. So, what do you think, will I need maybe bigger jet engine? Today I'm looking on Internet, and saw that nobody sell Jet Cat P 120 any more. Jet Cat P 100 is next after P 80, but both have almost same thrust. (P 80 - 22 lbs & P 100 - 22,6bs). Next engine is Jet Cat 140, with 30 lbs thrust, but fuel consumption is much higher, and with bigger fuel tanks I will have model with more than 14 kilogram... Does Jet Cat stop making P 120? So, what do you think, will Jet Cat P 80 be enough for 2,1 meter wingspan model (without tip tanks) and 14 kg of weight? Regards Mirce
Hi Mirce, Jetcat stop making the P120, and replace with the P140, the last 120SX, also has 30lbs thrust... The P80, and 120, are same size, 140 also i think, so if you make to fit P80, it will also fit the bigger turbine just fine, Maybe ok on the P80, but some will want more, so is a option... The bigger turbine has higher fuel consumption, at full power, but is flown more on less throttle, so consumption is not so much a problem... Keep up the good work... Jeremy.

RE: Large futura prep and painting
WOW thats HOT...[:)] As Neil said, You Have Skills... I bet Ali is chomping at the bit to get back and see her all together to... Lol. Following this thread inspired me to dig out my paint guns, see what i have, they been in storage for 15+ years... Its amazing how one can forget what they have... Found a brand new Meiji touchup gun, F75-MC, my old Arnold touchup gun, which i did a lot of painting with thru the 80s and 90s...[:D] And 2 top level airbrushes... I used to use Big bottles of Dry Nitrogen for spraying, but got to be expensive, now have a new compressor, with tank, so shall look to try some paint in the not to distant future... Keep the info and pics coming Philip, your a real inspiration... Thank you... Cheers Jeremy.
