RE: Great Planes Reactor 120-160?
Just came back from flying my 50cc powered Reactor...Man this thing is fun to 3D in the wind!!! Rolling harriers not even moving, backwards with the wind, and SIDEWAYS WITH THE WIND!!! All pretty close to the deck. Had a blast breaking in a new engine... Cars were stopping on the road and people were riding up to the edge of the field on four-wheelers just to look... Having fun with the plane and new engine now that I have one I can trust...

RE: SukHoi SU-26 100cc FLY MODEL good or bad ARF
Nah didn't get to fly the Sukhoi, I just repaired the hinges on the rudder today. Did get to fly my brother's H9 Cap. Also let a pretty well known pilot around here that does the R/C demos at the Wings over Houston Airshow fly the Cap and he said it was a pretty fun airplane... He got to wring it out and man, I can see now I need lots more practice!!! LOL!!! He had it doing a slow sinking torque roll while drifting downwind!!!

Just looked...it's on page 9 of the manual, step 23, 25 x 1085mm... Stab tubes are 12mm x 330 and 440mm lengths

Found it in the manual in one of the top corners... 25mm X 1080mm I think... I just ordered the 25mm tube from TBM....it was 6in too short but I'm flying with it...

RE: SukHoi SU-26 100cc FLY MODEL good or bad ARF
These hinges are on the rudder and the flutter was on the elevators so...I guess the flutter caused it along with me bumping the top of the rudder while loading and unloading the plane each time... I'll get the bugs worked out someday...then when it's all flying good and pretty is when I'll put it in I bet. Always seems to happen to me that way...LOL!!!

RE: SukHoi SU-26 100cc FLY MODEL good or bad ARF
Nah...carbon fiber would have not given and ripped out. Made the repair on the axle today on the side that came out. But the other side I could not get out with a hammer and punch so I left it alone. Must have been a manufacturing defect on the side that let go. Found another problem in the process [:'(] top 2 hinges on the rudder are loose. Gotta figure out a way to fix those before going back up. If it wasn't for bad luck I don't think I'd have any luck at all...but at least I didn't find out in the air.

RE: SukHoi SU-26 100cc FLY MODEL good or bad ARF
Yeah I didn't change the servos but I did change the linkages around and found out also that a servo arm was bent where it splits and goes onto the servo splines causing some play and eventually it was on its way to stripping. Test flew it yesterday and didn't see a hint of flutter but one of the Dubro 3/16" axles came apart so I made a not so pretty landing that bent the gear and loosened some bolts. I think I'm going to silver solder them both if I can and hopefully that will hold 'em in...

RE: Gas Engine Identification
Sounds to me like and old A&M 3.2 Sachs...PM "rcign" with the info and he'll tell you what it is and what to watch out for if he doesn't chime in here soon... I have an old 3.2 Sachs made by "Walker" that's down at my brother's right now so I can't confirm the numbers on the cylinder are the same but if memory serves me I think it's a 3.2 c.i. I do remember that 44 is the bore in mm...

RE: how do you keep your ext. out on tail and wings.
Your going to laugh but on my stab ext. I use a plastic lid for foam cups, the part you stick the straw through, I just cut out the small raised circle in the middle that has the slits for the straw to pass through...put the extensions through there after I take the stabs off and so far I haven't had to fish out one yet...

Hey outsider, sorry about jumping in on your thread like that... One other thing...I noticed in the pic that you seem to be running the stock gear. I had to reinforce mine with a sacrificed graphtech gear. Also I made a new landing gear block and reinforced the stock "plates"if you will. You may want to do the same, just trying to help...PM me if you need pics... Zed
