RE: Pilot rc 30cc Sbach.
Have a BME 50 ready to go for this one. Would that be sufficient enough to take care of the CG issue? EDIT: wrong thread

RE: KMP / YT FW-190 Build Thread
Hey guys, your 190's are really looking good. What do you think about an OS 3500 2-stroke for this one? According to the specs, it's able to produce 4.1 hp at 10k rpms. We were planning on putting the Evolution 26ei on there but thought the extra batteries would add to the weight. Any input would be appreciated.

Hey propwashed! Look at you! I just saw this thread this morning. That kit is certainly beautiful. I'm trying to move some of my stuff to get the pennies together for one. All these "Luftwaffe" guys are really helpful here. I'll be watching your thread with some keen interest. BTW, excellent quality on the tailwheel video. ;)

RE: First Giant 50cc looking for guidance
Don't forget to look at the TOC/Aviation Models/SD Models 50cc Yak 54. I have one powered by a BME 50. 87" wingspan. Lots of fun and it's a great flier. Last time I checked they were $549.

RE: Hanger 9 33% cap 232 RERELEASED!!!!!!
Still have an original CAP with close to 300 flights on it. Comboed with the BME 105, it's been just an outstanding plane. I agree...the Yak's do fly better but I'll never part with my CAP.

RE: Where are the giant scale FW-190's?
Thunderthud, yes, I actually have one! We're in the process of finishing it up at the present time. I should change the subject of the thread to 190 ARF's to avoid confusion. I figured TF or H9 would have some sort of luftwaffe bird to rival their mustangs and jugs.

Nick, that looks great...that's the perfect size with which a manufacture could market an ARF. wulf, both your birds look outstanding.

RE: Where are the giant scale FW-190's?
GF Reid, yes, mostly speaking about ARF's...you would think there would be at least one or two in the 80"+ class. Right now, you either settle with the smaller .60 versions or go big with the Airworld's or SisT's.

RE: Where are the giant scale FW-190's?
Thanks sturtz, but I was thinking more along the lines of 80"-90" wingspan to rival the giant TF Mustang and H9 Jug. There doesn't seem to be any out there.

There are several .60 and .40 size 190's available, but why not IMAA legal butcher birds? Does anyone know of any future ARF's of the A models coming out? No D-9's please. Top Flite and Hangar 9 need to get on the ball. Our big mustangs and jugs need something to chase!

Graham, looking great... Have you come across any pictures online of the plane you're modeling the FW after? I realized you said a "mixed" scheme...I'm looking for some documentation on Piller's Black 13. All the ones I've seen have no eagle's head on the cowling.

RE: KMP F-7F Tigercat
A couple questions... 1. How come both F7F threads haven't been merged? :D 2. Those that are using Evolution 26's...how are you going to deal with a) the spring-loaded choke and b) the positioning of the throttle arm on the carb (in other words...how are you going to maneuver the push rod to that throttle arm which is located around the cylinder)? Thanks.

VKerster, definitely looking forward to see how your G-26's look mounted on the Tigercat. Two G-20's would fit nicely but that's only 40cc on a plane that will be in the mid-20's in weight, I imagine. Tigercat's need to check out, especially this one since it's modeled after a Reno racer. :D If the cowl isn't butchered, I'd love to get the G-26's. Has anyone tried the Evolution 26's?

Capt G, thanks. I appreciate your thoughts on the BME as well. We're pretty giddy about our Jug's performance. sportstar, the back end was recovered with ultracote olive drab and grey to match the fuse and white ultracote for the stripes. My dad knows how to cover, for sure. The black/yellow checks came off pretty easy. The white on the cowl is covering the red that came with the ARF. Multiple coats had to be added since the red was still coming through.
