RE: Axi 5325/24 problems
Hi Malte, Thank you for this very useful information, much appreciated. I will reduce both timing and acceleration and see if it solves the problem. Just waiting for a new Undercarraige to arrive first![;)] Best wishes Stephen

Axi 5325/24 problems
Hi guys, Hoping that someone may be able to help me with this one. I am currently using an Axi 5325/24 and Jeti Spin Pro 99 Opto in a Gaudius F3a model. The setup has work faultlessly for around 50 flights, I have simply set up the controller with the Jeti Box and flown. However over the last three weeks, whilst on take off, on a number of occasions when the motor hits full power and the aeroplane is just about airborne, the motor makes a terrible screetching sound and has a severe loss in power. The result is that I've had to abort the take off, sucessfully on most occasions until yesterday when I snapped the U/C legs. The motor will not do this everytime I fly, only sometimes. Yesterday for example I had three flights without problem, but on the fourth and fifth flights the problem occured despite opening up to full power before take off to check all was ok. The only thing I have changed on the model is the batteries. For the first 50ish flights I have used 2x Turnigy Nano Tech flight packs and 1x Zippy pack (2x5s 5000mah 25-50c)and never had this problem. I recently bought another 2x Turnigy Nano Techs (2x5s 5000mah) and the problem started to occur. In fact as far as I can tell it will only happen with these two new flght packs. I am not currently using the Jeti Anti Spark device. Can anyone help? Many thanks Stephen

RE: suitable DEPS lubricant
Hi Guys, I have the DEPS system installed in my Oxai Pinnacle. The system has worked great so far, no complaints at all. However I was out flying yesterday and I noticed on my fourth flight that the model required some down elevator trim to fly straight and level - about three or four clicks on the trim. After inspecting the model I have not found any problems - pushrod end OK, clevis fine, incidence adjusters haven't moved etc. I know a few have metioned 'thermal expansion' in this thread - is this a common thing with this system?? Any advice much appreciated Stephen

Oxai Pinnacle Tailplane
Hi Guys, Hope soeone can help me with this one.... Around twelve months ago I bought an Oxai Pinnacle, but have only this season started to use it as my number one model so not really done much with it.... When the model first arrived I noticed that the front pole that goes through the fuselage and joins the two tailplane halfs together was a loose fit in the outer tube that is glued into the the fuse - although it wasn't loose enough to cause me any concern at the time. As I have started to fly the model a lot recently, and the tube and pole have rubbed together through vibration, the two are now a very loose fit - see pic is I'm not been very clear! This is causing the tailplane to 'rock' quite considerably and it looks worrying! The solution I think is to 'beef' up the pole a little bit? I thought maybe with Zap of some sort of Resin? Has anyone any thoughts or had a similar problem in the past???? Any help or suggestions would be great.

Mercury EX - charge problem with Lithium
Dear all, I have recently got a Pro Peak Mercury EX charger. Whilst it charges Nicad and Ni-MH fine, when I try and charge my small Lithium Polymer packs it will not complete the charge. Before the charge is complete the LCD display shows 'battery output connect error'. The instructions state that this message should only be shown prior to an automatic charge when the battery 'is not in a suitable state for charging' or when the battery becomes dicconnected during the charge. I have been charging the lithium batteries in manual mode i.e. I tell the charger the battery specifications, and find it strange that if the battery is unsuitable for charging then why would the charger begin to charge it (at least partially). Admittedly I am very new to electric flight and Lithium Polymer and so I have no idea why the batteries wn't take a full charge. I only have two Lithium batteries and have the same problem with both. It could be that both batteries are damaged but I thought this unlikely. Any information would be greatly appreciated. The batteries I am trying to charge are as follows Flightpower -11.1v 3s1p 1050mah Lithium Polymer Unknown brnd - 11.1v 3 cell 340mah Lithium Polymer

RE: PL Products Kits in the U.S.
Hey Tony, I'm currently seeking out my next pattern plane and I think you just sold the Partner to me! Fortunately in the UK we don't have the problem of huge shipping cost etc for PL kits. However I'm having difficultly understanding the Kit descriptions on PL's website. As I understand it, the difference between the basic kit and the standard kit is that the wings and tailplane are balsa sheeted on the standard kit. Is this correct? Also, does the partner have a plug in tailplane? Stephen
