RE: horizon hobby
Man, I read through this thread twice trying to find that remark about staying on top of them. Thanks, taildragger. Mr. McConville, I'll ask again; just what do you mean by "stay on top of them"??? I purchased the T-34 kit today. It will remain NIB until I get some retracts. .

RE: User ID switch???
Tried that; no joy. The other user name appears in the password box and cannot be deleted. This isn't a big deal, just annoying. I got an e-mail from you guys on the work computer, saying you were looking into it, etc. .

User ID switch???
I used to have two accounts; one at work (Steve Campbell2) and one here at home (Steve Campbell). These date back to the old RCU. Not long after the changeover, they were combined so that I was logged in both here and at work as Steve Campbell. Much better, as the viewed threads now remained the same, etc. Now, for no apparent reason, I'm being logged in here (home) as Steve Campbell2

Question Regarding H9 T-34 Retracts
Okay, I must have missed something. In another thread where this topic was being discussed, somebody, who it seemed to me was representing themselves as a Horizon employee, made a post about these retracts being adequate if they were installed properly and "you stayed on top of them." I asked for clarification of that comment. The poster did not respond, and now I don't see that post on the thread in question. Hmmm... I am trying to decide whether or not to take a chance with these inexpensive mechanical retracts. A couple of people responded via PM, and apparently became annoyed with my questions and have not answered further inquiries. Fine; sorry to have bothered you. But I would still like my questions answered. Several other folks are also interested (they PM'ed me), but I suppose I'm the one to have to throw myself on a grenade, so to speak, and post the specific questions. I am NOT concerned about the airplane; I have looked at two different kits, and both were top-notch. What I am worried about is those $29.95 retracts not holding up. The concern is legitimate, since both the H9 P-51 and AT-6 at my club have had serious problems with their H9 retracts. I would like to hear from those flying this model and using the retracts, and from any Horizon employees who may have previously posted on this topic. TIA for your time... .

RE: KALT 30 BARON
For reasons known only over there, the Enforcer was/is called the Space Baron in the UK...[;)] I'm guessing you have the plastic-framed Baron 30, which was the last of the line. I have seen several for sale on eBay in last few weeks; but they were all over here. By the time you paid for shipping, VAT, etc., you'll probably be better off buying a current-production machine locally. Steve

RE: Just recieved my CG Ultimate
Just spent the last hour re-locating the tank. Using the supplied mounting arrangement, it would sit too low for that high-mounted carburetor. I had to whack the main former, then fit a splice lower down. Oh, well; that's why they call it "modeling"...[;)] Ron, how are you coming with yours??? Steve

RE: Kit for OS15, but not a trainer or combat model?
Not sure what your definition of "combat model" is, Dzl, but I'll second the motion on a Sig Wonder. This is a traditional kit that builds into a really neat little model, and is a hoot to fly. That's an OS .15FP up front... Steve

Ah, so. I remember seeing this on the old RCU, but didn't use it because it has some limitations, as I recall. No posting of pix, for example. I just never noticed it down here after the change-over. Thanks, Mark. Steve

I'm either confused, or am not getting a "quick reply" box. What I DO see is a "reply box" superimposed over the screen post. I kind of liked the old full-page reply screen better, but I can live with this. What are you guys talking about? Steve

I get your drift, Steve; and agree 500%. Down here, we have an abomination called the "Airmadillo". From what I've seen of them, those spad things are classy compard to this apparition.
