RE: Return of Lunchbox..
As I'm sure others already knew, new parts arent necessary to install the 50520's. They went on easy with parts already in the LB kit. I'm using soft in the front and medium in the rears. Soft is way to soft though, going to have to change that out and stiffen it up. Driving the LB with these upgraded shocks is totally what it needed. Alot more fun. Been putting alot of time on it.

RE: Return of Lunchbox..
Its a metallic jade green I think. it was a can of spray that looked good enough to me for $5. thank you. I sprayed a little heavy though, oh well. this week I picked up a pair of 50520's to swap in and I grabbed an upgraded steering tierod set from a dude who has them prebuilt on ebay. My stock ones kept getting loose. I havent quite looked at how the 50520's attach but I know they should work pretty good. I probably need an extra part or two to attach the top of the shock, guess I'll find out. oh, and I spray painted those yellow rims black. no more john deer look.

RE: Return of Lunchbox..
got the paint done with and gave the LB a trial run outdoors Just need to tighten up the electics inside paint and glue the wheels then get ready to fix everything that breaks as soon as my kids have at it. I think I'm going to pick up a parma body and spend time detailing that and get more experience with painting

RE: Return of Lunchbox..
Got my power supply and charger setup. Exciting to me only but posting an update. Also did some body painting this weekend and came to work with green paint all over my hands. I think I got the paint on the wrong body.

RE: Return of Lunchbox..
Ok thanks for that. I was out of town for a few days but all my shipments arrived and are waiting for me to crack boxes. I've also been waiting for power supplies to get off of "backorder" status at hobbypartz. I keep watching the G350 to be available while searching for a comparable product in price and specs.

RE: Return of Lunchbox..
Thanks Hwa224, I added the Tamiya connector to my order, only $3 for just in case and have everything on its way to me. And thanks for explaining some of that diff in chargers. I remember the charger I used to have was like carrying a toaster around. These are pretty fancy and the costs...they sure have changed. Way less then what I paid back in the day.

RE: Return of Lunchbox..
Hello folks, 22 years ago I had a Kyosho Turbo Optima, that I even raced locally growing up. I guess those vintage cars are out of my price range now according to what I see on ebay...oh well. But a lunchbox aint and they are fun without even driving 'em. Always wanted one and so now I'm going to get one, build it and let my 2 young kids break it for me to fix and upgrade. Can you take a look at my buy list and comment please. Radio & receiver seem like a deal with what I could quickly review and find. Any problems with it mating to the stock lunchbox ESC? Do you have a battery/charger option for me at hobby partz. That way I can purchase and save on shipping from them. I'm a little bit in tech shock with how things have changed and trying to catch up, uffda, but a fun lunchbox is a good way to introduce my kids to the hobby.
