RE: THE SPEED POLICE HAVE ARRIVED!!!!!
Combatpig has a very good point there. Why do you think there is so much regulation at real airshows? Its from the dangers presented from the aircraft. When it comes to big time rc airshows like warbirds over delaware or the such, with so many people there, the planes that are there, despite there small size compared to the full scale counterparts, can still cause lots of damage or lots of injury if one was to go down in the crowd. I think its wise that if your going to be milling around at 200+ that it should be reserved for local clubs or such where everyone there is aware of how much damage the aircraft could do. Im not at all bashing fast flying, i love to go fast, it just should be done with good judgement and at the proper locations. Stick 40[8D]

RE: Whats the Point?
Our nitro engines run just fine on methonal and oil. Just bump up the compression a bit to compensate for the lower nitro content. Stick 40[8|]

RE: Industrial Arts in Schools Today
Well, in Michigan, when i had industrail arts 3 years back or so, we learned a lot about stucural enginearing, welding, tools, and preet much the basics. We even had a chance to experiment with programing small robots. I dont thinks its as bad as you all think, but, many of the automotive and welding classes in the high school are being cut, much to my disapointment. Stick 40[8|]
I suck at chords, I am only good at those simple songs...
Chord are amzing. That was my breakthrough. When i learned chords things came much easyier and there far more fun to play! It also help you creat your own music. Ive been makin alot of my own stuff with my friend who plays bass. Started about 9 months ago on a takamine g series acoustic/elctric, and im really enjoying it. Working on for whom the bell tolls, lots of metallica recently. Have fun, play hard![sm=shades_smile.gif] Stick 40[8|]

A cut down 3 blade pusher should be nice, its a master airscrew http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXAPX4&P=7 I belive that will work for your needs, no matter what you do your enforcer wont break 100 mph or so with your pumped 4 stroke, but trust me the sound it makes is incredible! RE: Force one os.46la question
A 46LA isnt really the type of engine you want to use. I belive a good 46 fx would be much better or even a jett 50! But if you have to use the LA i would start with a 10x6 and go from there. Stick 40[8|]

RE: Am I the only one still using NiCads on ignitions???
Lipos can be used as safely as nicads if they are mantianed and checked properly. If you just let them sit in the plane you can never tell what condition they are in. It is best to remove them during charging to ensure they charge safly. The 6oz weight advantage is a little more work but worth it in the end! Stick 40[8|]

The olny thing i would not use is the glo plug with the idle bar. Not that theres anything wrong, there just somewhat out dated with newer and better glo plug technolgy out you can get better proformance with an OS A8 or even the Tower Sport Plug. Of course i could be wrong so if so, please enlighten me[:)] Stick 40[8|]

I think he is refering to the drag produced by the huge mufflers ST engines have. This wont effect the proformace in a noticable manner. I had a ST 51 on a Stick 40 with the exaust pointing straight down. Flew Great! Stick 40

Ussaly any swelling in lipo batteries is a cause for concern. If the batteries have ever been over charged, over discharged, or through any type of mechanicle stress (like a crash) you should dispose of the batteries. Stick 40[8|]

RE: Design for Windy conditions
Last weekend we had an rc combat event and I'll have to say that the wind was as high as I've ever flown in. Not sure of the exact speed but our windsock (which by the way is supposed to be an "official" sock) was standing straight out with gusts above that. It was almost funny to watch .25 size planes goin about 15 mph upwind then turn and go 900 mph downwind. We finally called it a day after 7 rounds and believe me, the combat guys will fly in just about anything.
Gee, we dont get 900mph down wind passes here[:)] Stick 40[8|]
