RE: Beginner plane???? Need Advise!!
The 2 most recommended planes are the Hobbyzone Supercub and the Multiplex EasyStar ! Personally I learnt with the SuperCub and it was great ! If I were to do it again now I'd probably go with the EasyStar which whilst it costs more for the initial set up you can get better more transferable bits that can then be used in your next plane like Servo's, TX, RX and batteries. Also very worthwhile getting a Simulator, even if it's a cheap one and spending a week or so practising on that before you try your 1st maiden.

RE: anybody flying Ultrafly FW 190 ?
I haven't built one so not sure in terms of the fit but can't imagine it would be that different but the Turnigy 35-30C would probably give good scale flying and the 35-36C blistering 3D perfomance.

RE: Bantam BC6-10?
Gareth, I've got a couple of these which I'm really pleased with, I also have experience with some of the more expensive ones and if I needed another tomorrow would get another of these http://www.sussex-model-centre.co.uk/shopexd.asp?id=21255 It'll take approx 1 Hr to charge them and they come with the leads installed / crocodile clips to connect to a battery at the field.

I'm copying and pasting a quote "this FW190 can actually perform most 3d manoeuvres should you wish to try them" Does anybody know how true that is and what 3D you can do with it, I mainly fly 3D and whilst not very scale to have a warbird you could do it with would be really cooeeel

RE: Need a plane
Multiplex MiniMag or Parkzone Trojan T 28 are a coupe of other suggestions but ene with Heli and Sim time I'd probably still get some help from an experienced pilot for your 1st couple of flights. Problem is if you get a 3 channel to start if you're quite an experienced Heli pilot you'll get bored of it in no time although teh MiniMag can be set up as 3 channel to start and the easily swiched to 4 channel with ailerons when you're ready !

RE: i want a cheap reliable electric airplane
Whilst you're saving up how about getting a budget FMS Simulator in the meantime then you can fly yourself stupid on the computer whilst blasting out your new stereo at full volume and driving your mum and dad up the wall [:D] Not only that but a few weeks on it and you'll be much better equiped for the real thing !!!

RE: new to planes
ORIGINAL: CBM Racing If you can fly, it shouldn't be a problem, if you actually haven't flown you will destroy it first time out. That simple [:)]. If you have little to no experience, then go with the suggested hobbyzone super cub, more money but it will teach you to fly on a budget. Especially when you factor in the first 70$ you destroy, then the money to repair or replace that one, then the money you spend on what everyone suggested in the first place [:D]. I hate to say it, but flying for the beginner is way more expensive than driving rc cars, so if on a budget you may want to rethink your plan. Once the plane is up in the air, it's not like you hit the brakes and it stops or glides itself gently to the ground. It usually goes like this-"Hey! It's flying! Uh oh! AHHH!" then the sound of your money and time being crumpled into the dirt. Gravity wins, always, everytime, no exceptions. Sorry if I sound like a downer, but that is how it goes almost everytime someone tries to learn on their own with a "cheap" plane. I did it, but had a substantial budget to learn to fly on. Go for the hobbyzone supercub, you will still destroy it, it'll just take longer and you may learn to fly in the process!
Have to agree with most of this !!!! To buy something you destroy on your 1st flight will just be throwing money away and if you're on a budhet that's the last thing you want to do !!! Whatever you get though a Simulator is an invaluable learning tool and will save you $'s on the crashes you don't have !!!

RE: ExtremeFlight 45" Extra 300?
You should find them a lot better, I just don't think it's worth risking planes like this after a bad experience with a S75 on something similar and ever since have stuck with HS 65mg's for any 3D planes around this size.
