did u install the springs backwards or something. maybe you tightened the screw too much or your con rod and bearings might have sezed

can you post a picture? fuel fliter not imperative but i think they are good since you are always running on dirt and grass so it keeps out any of the big stuff from the engine

avalanche xp online purchase as a gift absolutely love it would like it if local dealers stocked parts but local dealers usually jack prices up so it costs the same. only down fall is time Typhoon XP nitrodeals.com great on road car. great speed for a noob (me) easy to work on. my only dislike of redcat rc's is there is no way to hook up easy start like traxxas has. i am not a fan of the roto starts. blew too many OWB's

the clutch bell itself should be fine unless the teeth are broken off. it is also just a pain in the A$$ getting the stuck bearing out. flat head screw driver and hammer with a vise is what worked for me

the roto start blew out 3 one way bearings on me because it was too much torque. i am thinking of going back to a roto start plate again but using a screw gun with adjustable torque settings. but i would still like to know if there are any other pull starts out there that can be used instead of stock from redcat. i have heard that the ofna pull starts would fit.

thanks for the info guys. i got it running over the weekend but broke my pull start last night. anyone know of a better pull start than factory for the SH.28 i need one for my typhoon and avalanche. tired of the rope breaking.

you have to change the bearings in the clutch bell. i would also check each spring on the clutch shoes and make sure they are not broken. if the shoes are snug to the shaft than they are fine. just get new bearings for the clutch bell and it should be fine

typhoon XP hard starting???
having trouble starting the typhoon i just purchased. is it just because it is new or is there something else with the typhoons i need to know about. runs for a few secs than cuts out. seems to 4 cycle a sec or two before it cuts out. any ideas
