RE: What is needed?
Well i put the axial .28 spec 1 in the maxx a couple weeks before i sent it home here is the video. http://s694.photobucket.com/albums/vv309/T-MAXXRich/?action=view¤t=Movie.flv i still need to tune the shift points on it but man all i have to say is crazy. If you have good traction it will flip over on its lid and slide on the head lol. I have to get some zip ties on the head

RE: Official Muggy thread
FYI when you buy a bigger steering servo if you have a servo arm from a T-maxx it will work just as well as the aluminum one. This is what i had to do for mine cause i put ther 169 oz servo in while i am waiting for my 204 oz servo to come in and i stripped the losi arm that was on it so i just used my t-maxx one and works quit well. Just thought i would throw that out there. And on a further

RE: conversion kit
Well i bought the RD Logics bb Chassis and had the Mach 427 on from my Losi Muggy. But you might want to think about up grading the diff's if you are going to run that much power in a maxx. I also have a mod that allows you to put Losi Diff's in your maxx and they work awesome. But the Mach 427 was worn out so i bought a axial .28 to put in it. But i have no complaints with the RD logics BB chassis.

Yeah there are on post 691 http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_5952627/mpage_28/key_/tm.htm this is where it has the mach 427 in it. Here it is with the lrp .28 in it. http://s694.photobucket.com/albums/vv309/T-MAXXRich/?action=view¤t=Bashing_0001.flv

RE: What is needed?
Yeah i like the lrp .28 that i have in my mugg. But if i put the .30 in it i will not be able to take it to the track if i wanted. But i think i am going to go with the axial .28 spec 1 and on top of that it is for my son lol with the mach in it, it has to much power to get any traction if you did watch the video you can see what i am talking about. I think it will be good with the axial and if it does have to much power i will just run it a little richer. But thanks for the comments. By the way the total build cost of this build including the BB Chassis from RD Logics $130.00 and the diffs from losi lst2 about $80.00. So it comes out to about $210.00. I had all the other parts for the build so i didnt include them in the price. But if i did i would have to say about $250.00 for the whole build if all the parts were purchased.

Or i could by the LRP .30 spec 3 for my muggy and put the LRP .28 spec 3. that would be pretty cool but i really dont want to spend all that money after this build. But i will see how things pan out.

.28 spec 1 i think i really dont think it needs more power but it is cheaper then the mach 427. And it is only 109 bucks so it should be good enough for the maxx.

Thanks bro. I took a little longer then i wanted it to due to the fact that getting parts out to iraq takes a long time. But it is finally done, i think my son will love this crazy monster. The only thing i am going to do to it when i get home is put the new mill in it so he can break it in and start from scratch.

RE: What is needed?
Well fellas it is finally done. Here is the link on its maiden voyage had to order a bigger clutch bell cause it wasnt spinning the tranny fast enough for it to shift. So no more crazy wheelies :( the wheels just spin in the dirt so traction out here sucks bawls. But here is the link to you tube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pSfEklHOz4k . I have to fix the mill it has a airleak somewhere or it might be from me trying to spin the carb around to get it in the right direction it was siezed in the case so i had to get it out with pliers and screw drivers. But if it comes down to it i will just put a axial .28 in it instead.

Thanks WillClark ordered that servo yesterday the guy was real fast with a response. The only thing is that it is going to take a little longer to get here to Iraq. Been looking at servo arms also found a couple that i like have to get that on order too but i am waiting on them to restock thier suspension arms so i can order them. How long did the stock arm last before it went this would give me a time line on when i should order them. Hopefully everything should work out good.

Ok i was out running the Mugg again today and found that it wasnt turning to great but it didnt stop me from running the tank through. I put my 160 oz. from my monster maxx i am building. But i was wondering what servo you are running Willclark. This is how i put that servo in and was just wondering what you were running and how it is doing for you i am pretty sure you know that i am not racing but using my truck for a little of every thing. Hopefully that servo i put in there will work for the time being until i get that truck all the way done.

There is a way that you can get rid of this problem for ever but it involves a lot of work and i assure you that this works. http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_8908524/tm.htm Go through that thread but it does cost a little more then just upgrading the stock traxxas differentials. Hope this helps.

RE: HELP with xxl :@
I had this problem with my Mach 427. But fuel coming out of the glow plug is not really a good thing you should tighten the glow plug up. But the reason it shuts off after 5 seconds is that it is set real rich from the factory like full maxx said. Just turn the throttle trim up a little on your remote and then try to start it. Once it is started give it a little more throttle and give it a nudge with your foot to keep the air flow going through the engine. But remember the directions on how to break the engine in and you will fine. Hope this helps man.

RE: where do i get a big block kit for tmaxx 3.3
I just bought the RD logics BB chassis and i really like it. I built a crazy frank-N-Maxx cause i decided that the diff's would not be able to hold the power of the bb that i plan to put in it down the road. If you look closely you can see that there are losi aftershock diffs in the bulkheads.

RE: Official Muggy thread
Well i strongly recommend RPM suspension arms. As for the shocks i wouldnt change from the pastic ones. I have yet to have any problems at all with them. And the one piece engine mount. I havent had any problems out of my diff's so i cant say anything about those either as long as you take care of your diffs and fill them up and check them every now and then there will be no problem with them.

What i did was use the Robinson Racing spur gear and this allows you to use regular BB clutchbell. I am running the Mach 427 in my monster maxx. I have converted the diff's to accept 1/8th scale losi diffs.

The LRP .28 i have in my truck is awesome and from what i heard about the .30 its just as good. So either way you go its going to be a good choice. Im thinkin about putting the .30 in my muggy and putting the .28 in my Monster Maxx. I know that yall are going to laugh but i am betting that it will keep up with your xxl with what i have done to it.

RE: What is needed?
Well the truck runs freakin awesome. If i add a stiff wheelie bar i will be able to do standing backflips with it [:D] but i am going to gear it up for more speed and less torque. I had a little problem with the tranny shifting but i adjusted it and all i have to say is [X(] crazy wicked fun truck. It handles like a 1/8th scale does and doesnt flip over like it use to. I think my son is going to love this thing. So this mod does work and i think soon i am going to be putting the lrp .28 spec 3 in it to see what it does cause i am looking at buying a lrp .30 for my muggy. The maxx might stand a chance when i gear it up and put the .28 in it to keep up with the muggy. Just thought i would let yall know how it went. I wish i would have had a camera guy here when i took it out. It is all packed up ready to be shipped home to my son. Well take it easy fellas.

I have a muggy and i am out here in Iraq and i do some pretty crazy stuff with it. But i have broken a few arms, two tie rods, one shock shaft, and i think that is it. My next purchase is going to have to be the RPM arms seeing how i am on my last set of bottom stocker's. But not trying to be mean but i'm pretty sure you have tried some crazy stuff with your truck just as i have with mine, i would look around ebay for cheap parts lots to get a hold of. I would but most of them do not ship to APO addresses cause that would be awesome for me.

RE: Phreaktor's Aluminum Streetmaxx Build Thread
RD Logics makes a real nice looking big block kit and it comes with everything. Braces big block mount and drive shafts. I bought this for my Maxx and put losi Muggy Diffs in my maxx to hold up to the mach 427 that hopefully still has some kick left in it and if not i have a lrp .28 spec 3 to drop in it. But with what i have done to it i have spent more then i thought i would on it but its ok you should check out the thread on it. http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_8908524/tm.htm I know its not all aluminum but it might give you some ideas for your BB you are putting in it just in case you want to drive it around.
