Sad News - Jim Womack
I received a phone call from Jim's brother John that Jim passed away on Tuesday 9/4/12. Jim was an avid AMA Pylon racer and Club Warbird Racer in California. If you knew Jim, he was a great guy and always fun to watch fly. There will be services in Lodi on Wednesday 9/12/12. Email me if you need info. Thanks Kevin

RE: Morgan Hill October 13-14th Race- Who is coming
Hi Guys, I kind of need to get a census of who is coming. If you are planning on attending , let me know. We are putting this event on as a 2-day event as we were asked to do so to allow out of towners to travel and race. If I dont hear back from you guys who wanted the 2-day event, I am going to change it back to a 1 day event. Let me know asap. Race is only a month away. Email me at t34racing@yahoo.com if you are planning to attend. Thanks Kevin

RE: Morgan hill races
Thanks everyone for coming. Had a great day of racing. Lots of carnage .... Some of the guys with the 90's in mustangs did quite well flying tight on the pylons. I will have my Unlimiteds at the 2-day race in October. This should be a very large race as we expect to see racers from all over California and out of state. I will keep everyone posted on the upcoming races. Thanks Kevin

RE: Triangle Series T-34 and Warbird Racing Flyers
Bronze is for Novice pilots who are just starting out. Not sure of the skill levels of you or your guys, but if you say you are flying 200 MPH airplanes, I would say Bronze is not for you. Silver and Gold are open to anyone to enter, but Silver is limited to one prop, a APC 10 X 5. Gold , you can use any prop size that fits within the rules. All airplanes and engines are stock. As to the 46 Modified warbird, you can run modified engines. The combo that I have seen in the past are O.S. 46 engines with Jett and Nelson pipes, O.S. 46 with tuned pipes, Rossi 45's with pipes adn a couple other choices. The planes of choice have been the Phoenix models Stega, World Models T-34's ( Stock and Modified ) , WOrld Models PT-26's and wing manufacturing warbirds.

Hey Sac guys, The first race in April is Easter. Is that a for sure date? The wives are going to hate us. May5th is scheduled on top of the Morgan Hill Race and September 22 is on top of the Hesperia race. Just a bummer.......

Chris, I love this statement in your post "I have a hard time flying T-34 because I'm not patient enough and tend to get cuts". I guess it doesnt matter what class I fly....I have no patience!!!! I get lots of cuts.

RE: A question for the SF Bay Area Warbird racers
She loves the planes. I got her one for Christmas which she completed 1/2 of it. Then I got tired of looking at it on my bench so I finished it. Still sitting in the garage ready for flight. She still shows everyone it. She likes the planes and likes it when I am out of the house too...so it is a win situation.

RE: A question for the SF Bay Area Warbird racers
Hey TommyGun, Sorry for the delay...out getting married this weekend. My life is over now. :) We are looking at all the different angles. For the 2010 season , no changes in the rules. I think the clubs biggest "hurt" is lack of promotion. I am still going through emails. For those that participated in our races, give me some feedback by emailing t34racing@yahoo.com. Once all the emails are gone through, I am going to sit down with a group of people and hack things out. The rules are governed by the racers. What the majority of the racers want, we will go that direction. Morgan Hill is seeing what they can do to fit another race in. Stay tuned. As to everything else, I will keep you posted.

I am not sure. Steve Smith and James Gale are actually doing the race. I think the races start at 9am and will finish after 4 rounds and trophy race. I am not sure what the entries are looking like at this time. Lots of entries...make long day....not to many make for a short day. If I was going to take a wild guess, we should be out of there around 2pm.
