RE: Nitroplanes Mini Air 4 Channel
I've been looking at these too. Wondering if anyone has any experience with them.

RE: Cheap Park Flyer
My only concern with getting something from Hobbyking is getting parts for the product. Buying one of their knock off T-Rex helicopters is one thing because you can get parts here in the states. One of their little foam planes that is exclusively sold by them means you'll have to get parts from them.

RE: servo for my champ
I'm not sure if you can get just the little servo motors that are on the ESC/RX board, but you can get replacement ESC's at Horizon. Problem is, it's $59.99. Nearly the cost of a new plane.

RE: Official HZ Champ!! & Micro Flyers thread
Well, she flies again! I had to put in a little bit of down elevator trim, probably due to the motor not being at the same nose down thrust angle that it originally was. Only took two or three clicks of the trim and she was flying straight and true. Now I need some new batteries. the stock one lasts about 4-5 minutes then the low volt cutout kicks in. the thunder power one is still kicking as strong as the first flight! I love this little thing. I sit at the end of the driveway in a lawn chair and fly in the street just putzin' around. Good way to relax. Anyways, have a great night!

RE: Official HZ Champ!! & Micro Flyers thread
Well, got the motor and a new prop/spinner. Definitely was a bad motor that I had. The new one started right up once plugged in! Probably too many prop strikes from bad landings! Gotta glue it in and let it cure before flying though.

Hi Firebird, Well, I actually just ordered the new motor from Horizon about 30 minutes ago. Once I get it installed and flown, I'll be sure to let you know!

RE: Official HZ Champ!! & Micro Flyers thread
Finally got the motor out! Glued in there pretty good with whatever that stuff is. It's a rubbery substance, not sure what it is. Edit: The 'glue' holding the motor and ESC is a silicone adhesive. You can buy it at a hardware store.

RE: Official HZ Champ!! & Micro Flyers thread
Anybody know what kind of glue is holding the motor and the rx/esc in place? I'm thinking i'm going to have to replace the motor because it won't run anymore, but the servos still work.

RE: Official HZ Champ!! & Micro Flyers thread
hey all, Loving my little Champ, flies great! recently though, I've been having intermittent problems with the motor not spooling up. The control surfaces work, however. For example, this evening, I plugged in the battery (fully charged) and no motor response, only control surfaces worked. Anyone run into this?

3DHS stock status
I've noticed quite a few 3DHS planes say 'Not for sale' in the stock status. Does that mean they are no longer producing these arf's? Examples are the 46" Vyper, and 51" Slick. I think there's a few more than that too. Anybody know?

Tower System 2000 TS-65 Equivalent
Hi Everyone, My OMP Edge has two Tower TS-65 servos installed for the ailerons. One of them developed a violent 'twitch' that occurs every once and a while (deflects full travel for about 1 second then returns to neutral). I am thinking of replacing the both of them along with the wire extensions that go through the wing. I have already replaced the wires that go from the RX to the wing plugs, and that didn't solve it, and I know for a fact that it is not radio interference. I've changed frequencies and none of my other planes have this issue. My question is, what servo should I look at as a replacement, as I can't find the specs on the old Tower servos. Does anyone have the specs on these so I can compare? Thanks!
ORIGINAL: Doc Austin The Vyper is a bit different, but once you get used to it, she will do everything from super high alpha to super high precision.
Doc Austin, could you elaborate on this a bit? You seem to have a lot of experience with these, and I like all of your videos. Is the 65" a better flyer than the 46"?

RE: Scale Aviation Vibration Isolators
Thanks guys, I appreciate it. I checked mcmaster/carr, nothing in the size I need, although they have the style I need. Bennett's doesn't list the dimensions. I may just end up taking them out and redoing the firewall.

Scale Aviation Vibration Isolators
Hi All, My Extra has a Moki 1.8 with these Scale Aviation Vibration Isolator mounts. The current ones are 15 years old and the rubber is shot. I can't keep the motor secure to the firewall anymore. I'm pretty sure that we bought them from Gerard Enterprises, but the phone numbers I have for them are disconnected. I found some mounts on the Ziroli website, but, they are the wrong size. I'm wondering if anybody knows where to get some of these or if you have some lying around you aren't going to use, I'd be happy to compensate you for them. Thanks!

RE: GP Cap 232
Hi all, quick question. I recently acquired this bird from my dad. He built and flew it about 6 times with a moki 2.1 and he just didn't care for the flying characteristics (he likes mellow flying planes). Now it's sitting in my garage waiting for me to crash one of my other birds so I can outfit it with the motor (moki 1.8) and equipment. My question is, does anybody have any tips on how to wire the aileron servo extensions? Per the manual, you have to install the servos and the extensions prior to joining the wing together. As far as I can tell, there is no tube in the wing for the wires to be guided toward the center of the wing. Thanks!

7chp 140 ccpm support
Hello, I was wondering if the 7chp supports 140 degree ccpm. I was looking through the manual, and there appears to be a 140 swash type, labeled "H-3" but it doesn't say its 140. The diagram looks different compared to say HR-3, which has 120 degree labels on its picture. Just wondering if someone could clear this up for me! Thank You!!

Airframe for ST-2300
Hi all, I recently acquired at Super Tigre 2300 from my Dad. We had run it on another plane and gave up when we couldn't get it to run, replacing it with a Moki 1.35. So i took it off his hands and figured I'd put it on the bench to see if I get it run. I was just wondering what you guys think a good airframe match would be. I'm only going to buy if I can get the motor to run good. I'd prefer an ARF, as I don't have much spare time to build. Thanks!

GS-40 Economy Muffler Assembly Screw
Hello, Last week, I lost part of my muffler due to the center assembly screw breaking. I recovered the muffler, however I am unable to find a replacement screw. I know they do not produce the economy muffler any longer, but wondered if there was anyway to get a replacement screw without purchasing a whole new muffler. It is 3*115mm. Thank You!

RE: HK 450 Pro belt edition
Believe me, I like the cost effectiveness of the clones, but I have a threshold of frustration I'm willing to put up with to get a bird in the air. What sucks is that there's no way to 'test drive' a heli before you buy.

RE: HK 450 Pro belt edition
Well, I fly a Raptor 60. I am looking for a 450/500 to mess around with, and for a while was strongly considering the HK or EXI's. Still considering them, but I'm a little put off that you have to change what seems to be quite a few parts right away. I haven't ruled them out, just making an observation. It seems hit or miss. I'm waiting for Noob's official opinion though. I've read a lot of the write up's he's done on heli's and frankly would trust his opinion (even though I've never met him). I'm not trying to start a flame war or anything. Just putting some debate out there.
