RE: Just made the purchase of my KM BAJA 1/5 Ver. 2 30.5CC 2 speed baja!
Congrats m8 on the baja good choice [;)] When you get it have a quick look over check bolts are tight etc some bolts are worth using threadlock on too [;)] First upgrade should be a kill switch!! when you see a 23lb rc out of control you will understand [:D] when they hit things they leave a VERY big dent, hell i could show you trees with my front bumper imprint lmao [8D] Once youve checked over your bolts and electric setup make sure servo battery pack is charged etc As for oil ive always used castrol TT 2 stroke 25.1 mix into gas. As for engine run in they dont really need it like nitros tbh but take the first tank easy as a new engine parts like to expand to fit when first heating up,you should be good for 40mins on a tank full anyway. Hope that helps m8 enjoy [:D]

RE: Im thinking
People just make generalizations about redcat.
Not all the time tbh m8 ive been out bashing countless times with 1/5s and seen alot of redcats not make the journey back home in one piece. Anyone saying it can take the punishment of a hpi baja either hasnt ran both or hasnt got a clue

RE: 1/8 gas power
1/8 petrol is gonna suck i reckon not a big enough size to deal with a 2 stroke engine the weight of the engine alone would overtip a savage lol

RE: HPI Revolution…1/8th Scale Gasoline Power!
ORIGINAL: Ttowntoolman Were do you Keep a gas powered car? Outside so it don't stink up the house? Keep it inside a big tuperware container? Gas and the related fumes stink, so it becomes a huge problem for me. I have a 1/5th scale gas truck and I have to keep it out in the garage because it stinks. So my opinion of this new Savage is ''it most likely stinks''. It's kinda like havin a pet skunk with it's full armorment at the ready. Dont really matter were you keep it, it still reeks man.
lol i keep mine in the house m8 all the time in the spare bedroom [:D] not in a cupboard tucked away [:o] i just empty the tank and clean it out no smell then [;)]

RE: HPI Revolution…1/8th Scale Gasoline Power!
Dont think 1/8 would be a good size for petrol fuled tbh the 1/5 are just big enough for these 2 stroke engines as it is lol The picture looks like it got a nitro head on it no petrol engine in there!! [:D]

RE: Looking at buying a Rovan, which one?
Personally i would go with the 30.5 2 speed [;)] If you have the money to get a 2nd hpi do it the standard parts are alot stonger but as most upgrade there bajas in the end you will probally replace half the parts anyway lol [:D] (trust its a addiction!) 2 of my friends run KMs and dont have many problems with them all at think the clone parts are starting to get abit better now tbh The 2 strokes engines look after there self they just need a little maintaince etc Just make sure you have plenty of room to run and understanding neighbours [:D] enjoy it m8 [:D]
