Painting will be much quicker. Like ram said they were put on quickly. Rattle cans and painters tape do the job quiclky. I just did myself a throw away plane last week. Took about an evening to do.

RE: Jet shipping on u ship
Ihave used uship several times thus far and even had Shipping Wars come film a delivery at my house with Jarrett. It works pretty well. Just have to get the right transporter. Look at the feedback and go with the one that works best for your need, and you feel you can trust to get your stuff to you undamaged. George

RE: Tomahawk L-39 Build Thread
ORIGINAL: satdave Hello, Any updates on your build ?? I'm looking to purchase one as well.
Hey Dave Yes I have some updates I will post up pics tomorrow. If you are looking to get one do it. This is a very very easy plane to build. Even though there are no instructions, the provided build disk is handy and a quick email to the guys at Tomahawk will get any questions answered. George
ORIGINAL: EDFCrazy What size scheubler fans were in this concorde? and how many of them? Anyone know the weight of the plane and what the total power was?
The fans and motors are from Schubeler they are the DS-77 fan with the DSM6740-650 motor. Plane weighs 43lbs if I remember correctly. We are putting out a little better than 20lbs per side I do think but I would have to check my numbers again. Plane is built from a Brauer kit sold by Vogelsang Aeroscale. http://www.teamaeroscale.com/braeuerconcorde.html George

RE: TMMY Scale Composites 35% scale Cessna
Well the first day here at Joe Nall has been great. I got the cessna unloaded an had several people come up to wanting to know who makes the plane an where can they get one. Lots of photos of it today. Plane looks to be pretty well received. Got my maid flight out of the way on it today. No real issues just some trim changes. I ripping out one strut yesterday when checking the cg. I fixed it last night but it came out again. So this one will have to get the blind nuts after the flyin. But other than that another great flying cessna from Tommy. I will post some video and pics when I get back on Saturday. George

RE: TMMY Scale Composites 35% scale Cessna
Good tip Saul. I had my strut pull out at monster planes the year before last. You can see it pop lose in the vid. It does not effect the flying of the plane in fact we never knew it came lose. The bolts hold the wing in place pretty well. But it is just more weight the tube and the bolts have to carry. The blind nut does work quite well an it is not hard to do. You only need to do the ones on the fuse the ones in the wing are fine. All of my steps are made.....yea. Now just need to put the ones on the wing struts and I think I am going to call it done for now. Still more stuff to do but I am done for today. George

RE: TMMY Scale Composites 35% scale Cessna
ORIGINAL: style fly Ill take some new photos and we will compare-just need a few days    - can anyone tell me who makes these in 1/3 scale the ones Tommy has are a old look-
I have Dan at details 4 scale making me a set. I put the ones I had on the plane for now. Being my new ones have not gotten here yet. He also makes the static discharge lines as well. I just sent Tommy an email to get a new unpaint cowl. This will make adjusting the motor easier being I don't cut my cowl. The cowl and engine do stay cool enough without chopping it up. Also heads up check you windscreen screws. The bottom ones on this new plane were too short. Plus the holes in the hood were drilled to large. The vibration from the engine ripped the glue loose. This caused the one screw that was holding to start spliting the windscreen. And these screens are no fun to try and get out as they are well glued in at the top. Just not the bottom. Well it is off to Joe Nall later today see you there George

RE: TMMY Scale Composites 35% scale Cessna
Well my count down for Joe Nall has started. I have a ton more to do on the plane but she is getting there. I have all my lights working now and man oh man are they bright. I cant wait to do a bit of night flying with this one. The cockpit detail is mostly done. Just need to finish up the seatbelt clicker. The belts are done except for the back seat that is for later. Still have to do the step on the side of the plane and the foot rest on the wing strut. Couple more antennas and we will call ths one done. So I hope to have all this finished by Monday night as I leave Nall Tuesday morning. Here are a couple of shots of the pilot and copilot. I will have to get some better one in the day light. So if you want to see the rest of it you have to came to Joe Nall next week, and bring your Cessna.

55lbs is what my last one weighed [;)].........under the old AMA weight limits here in the states. but now mine weighs 73lbs.......I think[:D] (dont worry about the weight she flies fine between 68-80lbs lots of wing area)

RE: TMMY Scale Composites 35% scale Cessna
ORIGINAL: style fly I could not stand the shiny top of the Cessna dash board - I went to JoAnn's Fabric and picked up some mat vinyl leather - I made this templet- cut one out - now it looks much better....
Hey Style Do you still have the temple for the dash. Or could i get just get you to cut me one. I have a bunch of white over spray on mine that I cant get off. So I guess I will just cover it. I am almost done with the plane. I had almost the entire plane repainted being I had mismatched paint on both my wings and fuse. New paint is sharp the colors are now correct. I got my pilot working along with the control yokes. So now the arms and head all function. Newer nav lights are coming in to replace the ones I just got from Details 4 Scale. Dan has newer and brighter strobes and beacon. They are visable from a 1/4 mile away. So she will be ready for Joe Nall here in a few weeks. Just need to finish up the rest of antennas.
ORIGINAL: mifsudm thanks Randy, Hi Tshark, can you let me know what size of fuel tank are using on your 182?? regards martin.
Hey guys The new tank tommy is sending out does not fit correct. Unless you cut the fire wall. I tired the 50oz Dubro but the lines kept getting pinched. I am now using these http://www.bennettbuilt.com/shop/TanksBB_Mastertank_32oz_Gas_Rectangular.html they fit side by side with just a little mod needed. You just saddle them together like a jet set up. I am running about 64oz of fuel on the plane right now. George

Unclejoe is quite right. Dennis is a great guy and he does custom work. It does take some time to get it because it is not "off the shelf". Well I got my new mufflers in for the DA 150 next it is off to the welder with them. I can't see cutting into this nice cowl when the exhaust can be emptied out of the scale location. I got everyone patched up this evening/morning. Is it really 3am wow. I am not sure if I want to shrink the patchs a bit more or not.

Well the first on is done more or less still waiting on the graphics for it. Not to bad for government work. Not perfect but good enough for under the plane. Got my patches scaned in and reduced down on heavy card stock. Now I just need to cut them out and put them on the uniforms.
ORIGINAL: frets24 Tshark, That pic of you and the ''mini-me'' pilot figure is awesome!! I'm sure that will be the hit of the field once somebody susses out that the figure is YOU[:D] I've spent 100's of hours in a 172 Cessna and your I panel and interior look great!
Thanks Frets24 for your kind words. I have about the same in both a 152 and 172. Only about 10 in a 182rg. Well I spent half the day trying to find items here at the house, and at CVS to make my antennas out of. I think I am now on the right path. They will be close not 100% dead on but close enough by the time I get done with them. My graphics from Highr Graphics down in FL should arrive Monday Tuesday this week I will be able to get them finished up this week. Now I need to make the other 4 or so.
