RE: Club letter to local airports within five miles
OP wrote "In our club’s case the county that issues our special use permit for the field we are operating out of also requires that we notify the airport of our location and this has been in effect for a couple of years now." Sounds like a local government issue and nothing to do with FAA or AMA.

RE: Regulation passed the House
Can anyone tell me where private property ends and the NAS begins? How high must a model aircraft be before it can fly over private property without permission? Can it ever be high enough? Does it vary by local jurisdiction? We had a flying field closed down in our county a couple of years ago because the neighboring property owners simply didn't want models crossing their property line, no matter the altitude, even though it was all just farm land. The field was very small and the owner couldn't keep the flyers inside the boundary, even when he started only allowing electric park flyers and gliders. Steve

RE: Aztech / Slipstream RV-8 30cc assembly
Azhar, I bought one of the green RV-8 ARF's from you last Sunday. How do you like the JC EVO 30cc engine so far? Are you going to be carrying them in the future? Thinking of going gas on this one and electric on the Yak 55m. Thanks, Steve

RE: Regulation passed the House
I think this thread would be a whole lot shorter if the AMA would tell the membership why they feel there is a need for further "clarifications" and be specific about it. The bill passed by congress seems pretty clear for now. The AMA should declare VICTORY and leave well enough alone. [8|]

RE: Slipstream MXS HELP!!!!!!!!!!!
I think it might be this covering, but not sure. I have the same plane and the green covering on it is actually different on the front and wings than on the tail. The tail and turtledeck covering looks faded for some reason. Must be from different rolls of covering. Typical China QC. RE: Introducing the Aeroworks 30cc Bravata
I think it's a very nice looking plane overall, but I don't like the way the windshield extends up over the center of the leading edge. It doesn't look right and sticks out like a sore thumb. There must be a better way to do the windshield. Steve

RE: The COME-BACK of x2 GP's ARF's
I flew both the DR1 and the Ryan STA years ago and they were both great fliers. I really like warbirds with fixed gear and always thought the Stuka would be fun, and was pretty excited to see it would be brought back, until I saw the price. Oh well maybe if they don't sell they'll lower the price. I would like to see them bring back the .60 size Spacewalker also. I really liked mine. [:)] Steve

RE: World Models 33% Cub ARF
Hi I have my cub ready to fly i have a G62 and by cutting down the carb. spacer you dont have to cut a hole in the of the cowl You also need a spacer between the mount and the fierwall or you can cut down the cowl I would recomond sanding the wing tubes as mine had a tendency to bind You really need the DU BRO wheels as mine have gone flat by just sitting BOB from Boca
