RE: Engine quites after running fine for 5 mins
i have had this problem with my 4.6 and i found it was running to hot and needed to lean it a little more and only use about 20% at most any more and it would start to play up after about five mins of running . A quick test to tell if its to hot is to give the primer a squeeze and listen to the carb for fuel boiling up if it is its a sure sign of it being to hot

Found the problem my truck was going into second gear straight away hence no acceleration so a quick quater turn adjust has sorted the problem [:D]

i belive the motor is a power 800 motor but it came as a fitting kit with the gearbox prop tube and screw the combination makes for ample power and speed and duration

RE: Model Slipways Trent Lifeboat Full biuld up and review
Hi there im now running the graup's with two esc and two 9.6v 3000mha batteries and its now running even faster with about 30-40 mins run time the superstructure is held on by the side pieces of the deck around the center openings i have left nearly an inch for this purpose with its own weight and it dosent seem to move but do make sure the bottom of your super structure is heavier than the top . On other kits i have use cabinet door magnets bonded to the hull and the superstructure to get a good lock down . you may also find as i have in rougher water the boat will try to keep upright as much as it can as the hull follows its full size brother wich is self righting . hope this helps

Well just about finished now shes in the water she ran about the correct speed and looked great in the water but duration was a problem i was getting about 10 mins with a full charged 9.6v 3000mha so im gonna try two esc and two 9.6v batts should then get about 20 mins other than that she went well turning circle isnt to good and forget any reverse manouvers coz shell go were she likes in the pictures you cant really see how windy and rough it was but all things considering she had no problems with the chop and powerd through it well any way here she is .... [;)]Wat to do now[;)]

All the running gear is now installed im using 2x graupner 600e motors and a overlander speed and im going to see what duration i get with a 9.6v 3000mha and go from there it has now been tested in the test tank and i noticed a slight lisp so corrected this with some lead and it now sits straight to its water line next trials will be at the lake when the weather decides to improve [&o] here are a couple of pics of my layout
