RE: FlyEagle F-16 convcersion to EDF
Debating the same thing with my 16. I have the turbine, but I will haver to spend 1000 buck to switch it to wlectric. Went to an electric meed today and had a blast flying my Hobby Lobby Hornet on 2.4 with a 1800 mil pack and I added rudders. Boy what a differenc. Knife edge, point rolls. AND vertical hovers to a tail slide. Go for the electric, add the extra intakes above the stock one. You will love it. (Except for the wait to charge tha batteries.................LOL)

RCLANDER F9F ARF
I have the RC Lander F9F from Shulman Avation. THe plane looks great with its plastic skin Painted at the factory. The gear is nice with alumimum frames, except the plane is assembled at the factory with HOTMELT Glue in sections with all servoes and gear installed......AFTER all the parts were painted. I don't care what that guy in Model Avation said, Hotmelt is no good on retracts or any where else on a plane as heavy as this one! I have had it since Toledo ( 2-3 weeks after) Every time I try to fly it something breaks loose. Tiny servo operated Retracts SUCK big time. ALL the gear servos are stripped.......Stripped just trying to set them up. I have yet to fly it. Tried it again today and when I was gluing the wing blooks back in (With 5 min epoxy) the CHEAP plastic fitting on the retract broke off. As much as I paid for this thing it should have been 50 bucks more and had a set of air operatied retracts. It was touted as having all Metal gears in the servos, NOTSO........................... The instructions said it needed a 4s Lipo to fly. After I purchased 2 4s lipos and after contacting Shulman Avation I find out the factory changed the power to 6s, but didnt change the instructions. To Don's credit he sent me a 2s lipo and a "Y" harness to be abile to use one of my batteries at no sharge. that was great service. )After I was at 2 jet events with paved runways). I don't think this one will fly from grass unless it is a putting green. I fly my E-Flight F-15 twin from our grass BUt I don't think the F-9f will. Don Shulman, if you read this contact me, please. You have my number. Thanks

Threads not opening? ? ? ?
Why do some of the longer threads (over 100 pages) Just set there and not open? Case in point the " Check out this Bob Cat copy . Falcon 120 Jet from Nitro Models. Looks like a good platform for a medium size turbine.... Bob Cat Copy Falcon 120 Jet " thread. I have not been able to open this one for two days. Every time I try to open it, it tries and then says the page is not available.

As the "Ghost" and I were there the same time as Goose, I agree 100%. I have known him for over 30 years and "RB" is Particular in every thing he does. The 160 looks like a great engine. I may get one for my 1/8 th F-16, oughta make it go straight up outta sight!

RE: HUNGARIAN MIG-29 by Janos Horváth
He has the rudder actuator (Servo & pushrod) on the wrong side on the right verticle fin. ON the Mig-29 they are both on the left side of the fin. That is the left one is on the outside and the right one is on the inside (between the fins) Other than that it looks great....................

RE: Filling Seams on Fiberglass
You should Knead the cream hardner tube each time before you use it. I have used the same tube on models for a couple of years. Yeah it will separate, just remember to knead the tube first.

RE: Ziroli F9F Panther - new thread!
Guys, to interject another idea here. When I built my Ziroli Panther I used CF tow on the top and bottom of the spars. When I glassed the wings, Stab, and vert. tail, I used a layer of CF "vail" under the 1/2 oz cloth applying both at the same time. I used the method described on my Web site. When finished they were very light and could have been used as a Machetti..................... Google my name to get to my web site.

RE: Byron A-4 Skyhawk EDF conversion
Hey Greg, Just as an asside, why don't you use an electric converson of the Byron fan unit from ( Bob Ruff) at the Electric Jet Factory? Much easier conversion as non of the formers in the Skyhawk would need to be changed and the Thrust tube could be used also.

RE: JMP Firebird Paint IS DONE!!!
Canopy looks cool, but it will get very hot in the summer sun. Better keep it covered, or it will warp. Been there dun that on one of my planes. The top of the canopy was black like yours and it developed a sunk in spot in the middle of the top.

RE: E-Flite F-15 Eagle
Hi guys, I have just finished mine. I have the 3800 KV motors , 10 JR SM22 Servos (With retracts and Rudders) 2100Mah batteries, and the E-flight 40amp Pro ESCs. ONe motor runs fine, the other starts....Howls.............then stops. I have switched batteries, Run it on one battery and still one will not stay running. Bad Motor? Bad ESC? Timing? Looking at the motor at full power it acts like it is trying to chang directions whil running, then quits. Any ideas? ? ?

Wren stocks an Augmented single wall pipe for the Ziroli Panther. You can Order one from Ron Ballard ( NO 1 Here on RCU) the Wren USA Repair center in Decatur In. USA I used one in my Ziroli Panther and it worked great with a Ram 500 rated at only 11 lbs.
