RE: Axial screwing me?
well "Z" I was far from offended. I offer to you, instead of complaining, upgrade and that is what the others are telling you to do as well!! So stop complaining and do it already!! upgrade!!

RE: Help a beginner
ORIGINAL: djzachtyler
ORIGINAL: dhyde79 debating between those two, I'd pick the axial, simply because it's bigger scale car and it's going to be able to crawl larger obstacles.....
it comes down to this simple fact, If you want a good rig you can drive anywhere, go axial, the MRC is also a great little crawler, but is limited by it's size. I know from experience I can get my axial up, over and around obstacles that can be mind boggling...
I bet I can get my HR axled MAO over more than your best tricked out Axial!!! LOL

RE: Axial screwing me?
I just love when people go onto the forums to complain about problems they have with the various products they buy install and abuse.. Granted the OP prolly feels he was not abusive to the part, but I have many axial trannies in service right now in many rigs. Competition crawlers, scale rigs and even a rock racer. I have had this same part break, but every time it did break is was because I was running the rig hard!! As I do all of my rc's, but the point is, these are rc's and they will have part failures, that is a fact!! And the longer you are in this hobby the more parts you WILL break!! I have only once asked a company to warranty something and that was because it came out of the box broken. The minute we install these parts into whatever we feel is the right rig we take the assumed risk of breaking it. Axial prolly wont warranty the part because it was not installed in an axial rig.. No Warranty!! My opinion is instead of bitching about it, take this as an oppurtunity to upgrade and make it more bullet proof!! I mean geeze imagine if the OP was into the hobby of racing 1:1 cars and he but an r400 tranny into his hotrod and immediately pulled out onto the street and tried a burn-out just to burn out that new tranny!! People, Stop Bashing these manufacturers when you misuse their products(installing it into a non-axial product) and turn your misfortunes into oppurtunities to make your rigs better!! Axial, does not have any interest in screwing you!! But by installing into anything but axial products you are misusing the axial product. Sorry to be so blunt, but it drives me nuts to hear someone complain about good companies like axial!!

RE: new build... wk,berg
The best tires are extremely subjective to the terrain you plan on runnning on. I have a case that carries 4 complete sets of different tires, all tuned and wieghted fro my rig and driving style. But I have found the tires I use most are either the HB Rovers whites or my Panthers Both with full stuff all weather foams. Tire tuning is critical for your rig!!

Hey Knuckleslammer, You might wanna check on the Punk Rc Dual Steering Computer. I will give better control over your rear steer and more options. It is commonly used in rock crawling and bashing. Youi can find it here: http://www.punkrc.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=3&zenid=807784939d141f691cc100ea80995678 Kinda pricey but very well worth coinage!! RE: setting tranny
It does not really matter ow you count the turns just so long as you turn each screw equally.. Now there is a center screw(grub Screw) that should be somewhat flush that does NOT get adjusted like the the 2 that are further inside.

I would reconsider your steering servo,, there is so much more of an advantage, and just better experience with a servo that is better suited for the job!!
ORIGINAL: fusebmx13 Hey guys. I recently tried my friends crawler and now I want one. I am looking at getting the ARTR version and using my mamba max esc with a novak 55t motor. I will be using 3s lipo and my futaba fasst radio. As for a servo I will probably pick up a cheap digital one from my lhs just to get me rolling. What do you guys think? is there anything wrong with the setup that I will be going with? thanks
Firebird, everytime you write something here you prove your inexperience.. EVERYBODY knows that everytime you start ANY nitro engine there is some tuning you will need to do!!! Even while you run it you will need to tune, the air pressure around changes everyday, sometime during yuor run the air pressure around you changes ad requires more tuning.. Get a clue pal, nitro is NOT for you!! sell it and move on, stop making a clown of yourself..
