RE: Most meaningfull lyrics
This one really fits my mood tonight. It wasn't long ago today I sent the last verse in an email to someone Well you know what. Bob Dylan's: And don't think twice it's alright well it ain't no use to sit and wonder why babe if you don't know by now it ain't no use to sit and wonder why babe it don't matter anyhow when the rooster crows at the break of dawn look out your window and i'll be gone you're the reason i'm traveling on and don't think twice, it's alright ain't no use in turning on your light babe it's a light i've never known there ain't no use in turning on your light baby i'm on the dark side of the road i wish there was something you could do or say to try and make me change my mind and stay we never did too much talking anyway and don't think twice, it's alright ain't no use in calling out my name now like you've never done before ain't no use in calling out my name now i can't hear you anymore thinking and wondering all the way down the road i once loved a woman, a child, i'm told i gave her my heart, she wanted my soul and don't think twice, it's alright i'm going down that long lonesome road babe where i'm bound i can't tell but goodbye is too good a word babe so i'll just say fare thee well i ain't saying you treated me unkind coulda done better but i don't mind you just kinda wasted my precious time and don't think twice, it's alright and don't think twice, it's alright

RE: It's 85 degrees, anyone care to trade?
I like the cold myself. I feel more active in the cold. Right now the temps are low enough to be outside all day, for the most part. There isn't much rain to worry about, and even the mountains are more less assessable depending on how low you stay and what it is you want to do. Still every place has it's consequences and limitations. It seems as if every time I get the urge to ride dirt bikes, the forest become off limits due to fire danger. Or if I want to fly a chopper or plane, winds will be blowing and spoil that idea. And when it does rain, it doesn't just come in as some powerful monsoon that unleashes it's furry in a few hours. It hangs around. Maybe cloudy all day today, then a down pour lasting a few days, then cloudy until it moves out. Then we don't rain again for a while. But many good track areas are temporarily off limits due to the mud. I get puddles where I bash my cars. And the mud sucks for mountain biking or dirt bikes. I would prefer the beaches in Florida though. I go a few of them each year, and like to just float around and enjoy the water. Here I have to wear a wet suit and while the waves are fun, the beaches here can chew you up and spit you out cold and hurt.

RE: lipo/nimh charger suggestion
I wouldn't trust the Super Brain 977. It's a terrible charger. It will destroy your Lipos. It could be alright just for NIMHs but thats not what your looking for. It does come with a power supply and can discharge a battery while charging another. But it's no good for Lipos. It's assumed the 989 model works for Lipos but I read some bad things about service and issues with them in the MRC forum. It's more expensive for the 989 but it does seem to have some cool features such as programmable cycling which makes things easier for NIMHs. But for lipos you may want to look into Hyperion models or something else thats Lipo specific.

RE: Firestorm Flux
Not sure how it compares to the other 2 rtr brushless ST's, the Speed T and Rustler VXL. I don't think the servo in Flux has metal gears so that could be a weak spot. Otherwise it seems ok. Not sure if RPM makes parts for it.

RE: How do you maintain your NiMH Batteries?
What is OCRC any link to this track? Sounds worth a visit. There is a good one in Riverside as well. I think with the fuel cost no one wants to drive to far to bash or race. Anyway maintaining NIMH can be a $5%@#$! If not used on a regular basis. Otherwise I have to to cycle them a few times to bring them back to life. It takes a long time. A 3800 NIMH could take a full day to cycle. Not that you do much work with it. Just charge slowly until it stops, then discharge, then charge.........Sometimes it takes another cycle. Then you run it until the car is nearly drained, then after it's cool it takes a full charge. It really only needs cycling if you don't run the battery down or have had them stored for a while. I store them fully charged in the fridge. As for brushed and brushless I don't run my brushless bashers any faster then someone with a brushed motor. Helps to keep my cars in one piece.

RE: SV Speedway CLOSING by August 23rd 2008
It is sad to see it go. But racing will not just be in small parking lots running brushless minis. This track opened up only a few months ago and they are having some great turnouts on races. It's in Riverside CA and GBE and HPI are sponsors. http://www.milestonemx.com/ This is the location for the upcoming Baja Nationals in November http://www.hpiracing.com/news/2008070702/ In the Bay area they have on road races somewhere I heard. But yeah it's sad to see this track go.

RE: Help! Stripped pinion screw! What do I do?
I have done the same thing. It can be removed the way I did mine, but it's possible you can bend the shaft in the process. Anyway I used big lockable pliers ( the kind you turn a knob to lock them ) to grip the motor, then I used the metal cabinets I have to "pull" as hard as I could until it popped off. Just gripping the motor in your hand and pulling it with pliers won't be enough. You need to position yourself right for good leverage and have a good grip on the motor with lockable pliers. Try popping the hood of a real car and using some part of the chassis for leverage. Then pull and grunt with all your might[:)] If that fails, bring the motor and lockable pliers to a gym and see if someone can help you out. Good luck

RE: my NEW PET!
I don't think the apartment manager needs to know or will care when he finds out. They just don't want you having a large dog that craps, scrapes, barks all night, and chews up the walls. You may be able to fly with your pet if it's in a cage, but there may be some issues bringing it in to Australia. Hedgehog sounds coo, does it spines hurt? Was thinking of getting a Ferret, but a Meercat would be great.

RE: cedar point any one been there?
Ceder Point is Awesome[8D] It has been voted best theme park in the world by many them park junkies such as myself. I love that place. What makes it so awesome is they have the best or near best of everything; the whole package. Take for example Six Flags Magic Mountain in LA County, CA. Voted for the best rides in the world and they are awesome. But it's theme sucks, you hiking up mountains to get to each ride, the food sucks and is overpriced, and they occasionally have gang related stabbings and fights. Then take another example Islands of Adventure in Orlando Florida. Voted for the best theme (well tied with Disney World) of any theme park and it is awesome. They really got the themes down in the park and food is good to. But the rides are only so and so. Now combine those two parks and you have Ceder Point. Good theme with friendly people and beautiful environment, good food at reasonable prices for a theme park, the most rides and the best rides of any theme park except Six Flags MM, overall a great place. I'm a them park junkie myself and usually have season passes for several parks throughout America. I go each year to several different Six Flags theme parks, Disney Land, Disney World, Sea World, Raging Waters, Universal studios and Islands of adventure, Bush Gardens, and of course Ceder Point. Also been meaning to check out the largest indoor water park near Mall of America in MN, and another great water park in WI, and will check out the water parks near Ceder Point next time I go. I was supposed to go to Six Flags San Antonio yesterday, but ended driving on the beach and swimming all day at the beach in Galveston TX.

RE: my NEW PET!
I am shocked that you have a tame Texas Rat snake. I too had a cheap snake as my first, a really cheap snake. A Bull snake, probably caught locally then pawned off at the shop to anyone cheap enough or stupid enough to buy him. He even came with the cage. Anyway I had begged my parents for a snake for a long time, and while they were concerned about the snake (and rightfully so), they made excuses about the price to throw me off track. Big mistake parents or potential parents reading this. Instead of a more expensive albino barn snake (what I wanted) I had to settle for the cheapest snake around. The largest snake North or Mexico, and possible the most vicious. This sucker got huge fast and was devouring a few large rats at a sitting for meal time. He shook his take like a rattlesnake, and struck fast and hard. He was gentle enough if I was careful to pick him up and hold him, then he was cool and would slither around me. But he had a temper when he got out of his cage and confronted by some hapless fool on their way to the bathroom at 1am (usually me). I had to do battle with him to get back in his cage, and he bit hard. Anyway those red tailed boas are awesome pets, congrats on the purchase.

RE: hobbies
ORIGINAL: revocrazy7 i dont have anyother hobbies really[&o] but i do snowboard, paintball, skate sometimes, and used to play soccer[:D][:D][:D]
RC is very big hobby and I doubt anyone on this forum truly gives there all in full dedication to everything that is discussed on this forum. There are guys on here into RC planes, and they can fly a trailer tow able jet turbine plane, but after years of learning to build and fly RC planes of various sizes and power, hasn't had the time to get into serious RC car racing. So really RC is more hobby then most of us can handle in a life time. I have other hobbies as well, but they have taken a back burner to RC cars, which is my big hobby. I have flown an RC plane and Helicopter, but only at a beginner level in those pursuits. So yeah i have and have had other hobbies; but nothing has been as intellectually and mechanically stimulating as RC[8D] You just keep learning and taking it up a notch, and they just keep making them better.

I would go with rope magic. I prefer physical magic myself. I like doing sponge ball magic.
