RE: Motor Mount for Sirio .23 in Jato
The Sirio .23 has the motor mount for my S-Maxx so it doesnt have the BB holes. I'll have to take the motor mount off my S-Maxx and see how the motor mount matches to the holes in the Jato.

Motor Mount for Sirio .23 in Jato
I was thinking about getting an extended chassis and putting in my old Sirio .23 in it. I've seen a bunch of old posts from different sites asking about a motor mount for the Sirio .23 for the Jato but no real answers. Just wnddering if years later there is an answer...thanks.

Just wondering if it would be better money-wise to convert my ST-1 into a BL setup or just buy the MT4 G3? Thanks.

I don't think it does. It's been sitting on my S-Maxx since I bough it brand new about 7 yrs ago and I'm about to get the send the piston and sleeve out to be re-sized and i always ran it with the pipe that came with it.

RE: Big Block
Not all big blocks work. A few years ago i tried putting my LRP .28 in and the pull start cover was hitting one of the rear arms but put my STS .30 in with a rotostart with no problem. It's been years ago but I got the conversion kit off ebay for about $25. I now have a Picco .26 big block in there now and it fits without a problem. Does it have to be a BB because like proanti1 said the O.S. .18TM won't need a conversion kit and is a really good motor for the Revo.

RE: STS .28 info?
Like stussman said you can get a really good one or a bad one out of a batch. I have a practically brand new .30 that I've had since the .30 came out but dropped it and broke a mounting ear off the block so I have yet to see how good this motor is. You can get a brand new .30 for about $110.

RE: Can someone help please
You can do what I do...take it out and put a piece of tissue in rubbing alcohol and slide it thru the one way bearing a few times and then slide a dry piece thru and make sure it's in the right way.

How did u like the .28? I have a practically brand new .30 that I've had for 2 yrs and maybe have 4 tanks run thru it but broke off one of the ears on the case for the engine mount and just never got another block or if it's really worth it.

Looks like just a medium plug. Should work without a problem, just as long as you don't need a turbo plug.

I read where they ran better with the bigger carb because of issues with the 3.3, but if the O.S. carb fit then they must've meant the Picco .26 carb. Moe7404, thanks anyway but i don't have a 3.3 yet, but I saw a few posts about and was trying to get my friend to experiment with his 3.3

RE: Tamiya .18 vs Traxxas 3.3
RPMs for the 3.3 over 38,000 I believe. The smaller engines spin faster thru the RPM range than bigger engines...that's why u see .12s and 15s in on road cars and .21s in buggies. The heavier trucks likes the big blocks.

According to Tamiya, the Tamiya .18 and the O.S. .18 CV-RX use the same parts, except for the pullstart.

Tamiya .18 vs Traxxas 3.3
I bought a used Jato and a Tamiya 3.0 came with it (extra engine), but it has no compression. I want to take the 2.5 that's in it out and replace it with something better. I was wondering if the Tamiya was a better motor. I read it was made with O.S. Engines but not sure how old this engine is. I was thinking about sending it out to be re-pinched. Thanks.
