RE: Tamiya King Tiger Help
Hi guys, Problem seems to have solved itself. I took your advice and retraced my steps - i think i was doing the set up process incorrectly. Instead of moving the stick from top to bottom i was moving it from center. Thanks agian for the help guys - really appreciated.

Tamiya King Tiger Help
Hi guys, I recently aquired a Tamiya King Tiger and i was hoping someone could help solve an issue for me. I did try searching for this issue but had no luck finding anything. I have the cheap Futaba 4YF 'Skysport TX with the R136F receiver. I have been through the set process on the DMD and i cannot get recoil or muzzle flash to work. When i flick the test switch on the MF01 they both fire and work OK - just not from TX. Everything else (forward/back/turret rotation/barrel elevation) is fine. Is there a step i have missed or do i need a better TX or something? I really appreciate any help guys as i am a complete newbie when it comes to Tamiya 1:16. Thanks

RE: Heng Long IR LED
My stock IR KV-1 from evilbay has a white flash when i fire a shot and it registers with my Panther G that also has a white flash. These two tanks are both standard. I am not sure what you mean when you say there are versions of these tanks out there from heng long that dont have the white flash and only have the IR beam!

RE: Awesome Hobbies update..
ORIGINAL: DirtyBird69 ..but he's still PO'd at me and won't return emails...what can you do..
Really mate - it doesn't matter that he is PO'd at you at all. I wouldn't worry about it. The main thing here is that you have an active tracking number which at this stage seems to be legit, and your tank is on it's way to you. If he is too stupid to realise that after treating you this way - you wont be back, then that is his loss (future sales and all). Panther G made a very good point - everytime this dealer is spoken of on here it is bad. Keen to see more pics of this tank when you get it.

RE: And Yet ANOTHER Sherman release??
Just to get back on topic though - i wonder if they do actually make these tanks and Heng Long go to 2.4ghz then what new electrics will we see? Could they use the RX18 or would it be a whole new system?

RE: And Yet ANOTHER Sherman release??
ORIGINAL: DirtyBird69 as he wasn't going to allow me to hurt his buisiness or reputation.....
I think he has done enough of that himself. I ordered one of those "Bargain" Tamiya tanks last year and he was handing out bogus tracking numbers for items he never shipped. I ended up getting my refund after a little over 2 months. Some waited longer. I thought perhaps he would learn from that nasty experience. Keep your head up for now though - your tank is still in the Australia Post window of delivery which is something like 7-10 business days. Keep us posted!

RE: Tamiya Panzer IV $399
Thought i would just let everyone know that i have finally been refunded my other half now also. A total of 9 weeks and 5 days from the initial date of purchase. Please be very wary of this online retailer. He handled so many things wrong in regards to customer service ( which apparently he prides himself on). Thanks TigerTankMan

I have been promised half a refund this week and the other half next week. Meanwhile - he has now listed the tanks "he could not supply me" as in stock and ready for sale again. This time from Tamiya themselves. I don't know why he can't send me the tanks that he has 'In Stock' now.

I've had about enough of this lying asshole. Time to take this further i think. Can we somehow flag this joker as a dodgey seller?

Tx & ElMod Guru's
I am looking into purchasing a T-55 from Hooben and was wanting to use El-Mod. My question is: I was looking at this radio: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbycity/store/uh_viewitem.asp?idproduct=8992 What else will i need to purchase to be able to use with the El-Mod ECO and ThinkBlaster IV set up? Forgive my lack of knowledge, i am still very new to this sort of thing. Any help is appreciated.

Has anyone been in contact with Hooben in the last few days. The email adress i have for them no longer works. I get a 'Mail System Error - Returned Mail' message everytime i try to contact them. I have noticed they have a new website that says it is still under contruction. Maybe this has something to do with it. Cheers

RE: WSN T-34/85 and HL KV-1
I guess the only issue with my KV-1 out of the box was it's soft suspension at the front. But i still agree that it is a much better rc tank than the T-34 out of the box. I am taking phil's lead and currently putting ElMod into my T-34.

RE: Can Anyone Tell Me What These Are Like
A lot more information on the Nitrotek website - including prices. It would make sense that Taigen are linked with Heng Long as the Tiger I looks to have the same incorrect barrel. The Panzer III looks good...and yes, i am very interested in BB + recoil as well (Unless this just means the jumpy recoil and not the barrel recoil).

RE: Can Anyone Tell Me What These Are Like
Yeah, i agree, i dont think they are 'Historically acurate at all, but i have never heard of Taigen as a brand. I thought for a second it may have been a new manufacturer until i looked harder at the Tiger I (HL barrel etc). Wozwasnt is probably on the money, perhaps it is just a custom builder, the 007 would look better on the tank at the top of the page though. I might email them and ask!

RE: HENGLONG PORSCHE KINGTIGER IS HERE !!!
ORIGINAL: ObsessiveTankerHENGLONG PORSCHE KINGTIGER IS HERE !!! Hard to believe, huh? Well, ever since Matorro came out with their Kingtiger there have been rumors of Henglong making the Porsche edition..... but now it is here !! Awesome Hobbies Australia is to be one of the only, if not the only supply of the HL Porsche Kingtiger. It should be available there in 6-8 weeks. Below is the only authentic picture I could find of the Porsche KT. I have bought 2 tanks from Awesome Hobbies and I think that they offer the best variety in RC tanks in 1/16 scale in the world, quality is AWESOME!! Here is a link to their website
"One of the only - if not the only supplier of the HL Porsche King Tiger" I would very much doubt that!I reakon i'll be getting mine from Phil or Mato as they will most certainly be cheaper - even with shipping to Australia! He does sell some very interesting 'custom' tanks though. Paint job doesnt worry me (respray), nor does zimmerit to be honest. Just my 2 cents!
