Longer Chassis and 2speed Tranny for Hurricane XP?
Converting my Hurricane XP to race in the On-road 1/8 GT class. Just curious if there are any longer chassis that will fit this buggy? Also are there any two speed transmissions that will work as well. Thanks guys!

RE:
Thank you very much for the info. After looking over that site and also through my parts bin, it looks like I should be able to have the buggy up an running for about $30. I think I'm going to convert it to a GT Class on-road car that seems to be all the rage in the club scene.

RE:
I just got a Hurricane XP from a friend that I'm putting together for my brother-in-law. Looks like I need a lot of parts as the guy that had it before really hacked it up bad. Wheres the best place for parts? So far I need. [ul] [*] Hinge pins [*] Springs that go between the lower front arms and the rear mounts along the hinge pins > Is there some way to do without the springs, just make it a normal mount like all the other buggy designs. [*] Front Shocks [*] Front lower arm mount [*] Front lower arm mount bushings I guess those plastic inserts that are in them to hold the hing pins. [*] Rear Hubs [/ul] Also what upgrades are recommended? Either OEM or Creatively adapted parts from other cars. XRCC Magazine Buggy Cage Match Servo Horn Brand?
I was wondering if any one new the brand of Servos Horns that were used in the Xtreme RC Cars Magazine Buggy Cage Match. These were aluminum horns with a nice deep red color to them. Thank you much!

RE: Kyosho Inferno MP 7.5 Sports RTR
First thing you'll want to get is the FRONT & REAR SWAY BAR SET and HARDENED TIE ROD SET(you'll need the upper set and the steering set). You can just get the 777 parts because these are the same for both cars. Also to when you get the tie rods you'll need new end to replace the threaded rods you were using. Ebay is a great place to find this stuff. i can get you the part numbers in the morning. Also be aware that all the Kanai's use 20 or 22 Deg CASTOR BLOCKS oppose to the 17 Deg with the RTR this means if you switch to the 22 Deg castor blocks(Get the 777 models as the have more camber link holes) you need to get the matching kanai UPPER LINK ARMS that have the less sweep(DO NOT GET THE 777 MODEL, THEY WONT FIT).

RE: MP 7.5 to truggy
I think all I need is the part numbers for the chassis and suspension arms. Other than that, I think I have enough spare parts to make one of those.

RE: Cheap carbon parts
I'd recommend something more along the lines of a radio tray (2mm carbon). When dealing with carbon this thick you need things like a drill press other wise your holes will be off and it will tweak your geometry just enough to make ur car really annoying. The reason I know this, is that I built a few custom pan car chassis. They ended up being far more work then I thought they would be and I was working in a machine shop.

RE: Cheap carbon parts
Volume for volume steel's the strongest. The advantages of the others are they are lighter and so you can use more materail for a given amount of weight. That's why pound for pound carbon is stronger than steel.

RE: 7.5 to Kanai 3 suspension
Thanks bro! That's exactly what I was looking for. One more question. I heard they revised the suspension arms on either the Kanai 2 or 3. Do I need these to work with the new C hubs?
