RE: The Better HeliPro Black Hawk
in any case, someone used another heli belt and boom. It must be on an earlier post if you can find it.

RE: The Better HeliPro Black Hawk
I can see how a log crash would smash a heli. I have crashed a lot and nothing but blades and a feathering shaft and once a gear stripped. Great heli especially for the price. Have been doing some crazy stuff lately and its a blast. Just put a Gy240 on and I like it. Next to a scale fuselage.

RE: The Better HeliPro Black Hawk
that is the correct way to check the pitch and set the pitch. the A &B tune the pitch not the throttle. I always give a little thorottle right before landing if it is going to be a hard one.

i took the plug off an old servo and wire it to a 7.4v lipo and it works great. i am a little paranoid doing a lot without actually unplugging the esc from the receiver. i have had too many close calls so precations and safety are important to me. Happy Holidays!

that is what is good about woodies- if they were carbon the impact would have transfered the energy/damage to other parts of the helicopter va wood just splits or breaks.

RE: The Better HeliPro Black Hawk
Its a pretty standard series of settings. You can almost set up with the default and with some trial and error on the reversing of servos can get there fairly quick. Just be cautious with the throttle setting, normal seems to be the standard whereas a lot of systems you use reverse.

I think if you do not over torque the gold cylnder to the plastic flange it will caise less stress on the flange keeping it from busting. I did replace one and haven't had a problem since. Mr M helped me.

RE: The Better HeliPro Black Hawk
the pitch slider on the metal tail also has the plastic that the eyelets screw into. You could replace the tail assy with an all metal rex one. However, once you get this thing going you should be ok.

I reneg on the training gear. When I want to try something that stretches my abilities I stick some on just for the confidence boost. Question, I stripped a servo, Can I replace one servo and leave the stock servos in place?

RE: Black Hawk 450 Support
actually I have a 55 on mine. Is it too deep in the cavity? Just had to keep the backing (a piece of plastic) on it from the servo I took off and it fit ok. Are you flying an SE? I tihnk they are the same though. My holes lined up if they don't can a dremel fix the trick? Which servo in particular or all of them?

RE: The Better HeliPro Black Hawk
Blaze, as far as gear there are multiple schools of thought. They certainly take a bit of the force when hitting the ground and take some pressure off of breaking blades and different heli parts. However, they make the flight characteristics much different and they can create more instability and make the helicopter wobble. When I first stared I used them and a pro told me he learned without them and they made the heli unstable. So I took mine off and within a day was hovering then shortly thereafter flying around. Later, when I was in the yard and was trying to advance to other flying techniques, I added the gear back to the heli.
