Now I know!, thanx for the info, I had made one, kind of similar but it seems its not so accurate, thnax again I would repair and rebalance this little bird in no time. This is a video of my plane, at the end I stripped the gear with what I suposed was a fair landing: http://youtube.com/watch?v=b7yJMEym1Js

RE: NEW~~~E-Flite Extra 260 480 ARF~~~
Hi woodbender, before adding reinforcements to the gear, it was quite nose heavy, I had to roll the batt as far back into the wingtube as I could, but with the reinforcement I had to use paralel-to-wing setup in order to achieve level flight easily. I understand you have a method to achive CG with a "gizmo", if you could explain more about how it works, because I am not too sure about what this thing is, I would appreciate it. Right now I can´t check on the plane because last flight ripped the gear, as soon as it is fixed again I would check balance again. Thanx

RE: NEW~~~E-Flite Extra 260 480 ARF~~~
Hey, I am using a 1250mAh GP battery ( I know is too small for this plane, but I couln´t get the money for a bigger one), but on the pics you could see my old setup and my new one. The one I used for maiden is the one with the battery parallel to the fuselage. After some flights realized was a little nose heavy so I move it back right into the wingtube holder, just parallel to the wings. Landings where softer, but still ripped the gear lol.

RE: NEW~~~E-Flite Extra 260 480 ARF~~~
Hey...on the Extra I am using a 35-30-950kV Rimfire, with a 25Amp ESC...it has plenty of power and gives the plane enought flying capabilities, very happy with it. Because I have a small lipo (1250mAh) I have not been able to test 100% this set-up, but I could say that 1450Kv would be plenty enought. For the aerial video...here´s one link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QFuLEjXIA00

I have my Extra on a 1250mA Li-Po....is on the very-low end, gives me +- 4min of good power... If anyone knows where to get a bigger Li-Po that isn´t so expensive I will apreciate it. thanx!

My brother´s Fliton Edge Freestyle with a G-26 Zenoah, the weight was way too much for the poor landing gear, looking for a replacement.

RE: NEW~~~E-Flite Extra 260 480 ARF~~~
excelent plane flies great, but my 1250mA dump the power way too far from the runway....a far landing was neccesary and lost the landing gear on the process but nothing complicated. Beautiful looking plane, looks very real up there, and on the final aproach is very stable and predictable. Great mini.... Any one that could recommend me a long lasting battery for this plane (calculated +- 6mins on mine)

RE: NEW~~~E-Flite Extra 260 480 ARF~~~
Well i just bought an Extra on the US, I live in Colombia, so I had to ship it here, some damage occur to the fuselage and wings. But hopefully nothing really bad. Anyways, I have the Rimfire 35-30-950Kv with GP 25A ESC, also in my hands a 15C 1250mah battery. Planning to gear up my plane with them. Any suggestions or comments, need some advice. Note: The cowl on my Extra didn´t fit at first, too. But I saved hope for when I screwed it down to the plane. Hope was´t lost, when I placed the bottom screws first, followed by the upper ones, the cowl fit perfeclty and very tight, too.

RE: Young Pilots Forum
I am 17, and have almost 2 years of flying experience and my dad had always been involved on r/c planes he covers all the money for the hobby; I fly with my brother(21) and we have 8 planes (2 EP) but just 2 flight packs so he have to rotate gear between planes. Never had a crash so far and my new baby is the Extreme Flight Edge 540T sweet plane to fly. (and my poor Outrage 3D also lots of fun) NOW MY INTEREST IS SET UP ON BUYING A CAR.....to drive myself to the flying field[;)]

RE: Those with Ultrafly Furious/Outrage...I Need Help
Well... I have flown my Outrage a lot on the past weeks with the Rimfire, 8 Amp ESC and 1.5 amp batt. it is great... vertical performance is unlimited and hovers with aprox. 3/4 of throttle, I love it... the only thing that I didn't like, all the tape that tends to come loose on every flight... also is a great looking plane!!! i would buy another one in case this one meets the ground hard!!!

RE: U-Can-Do 3D EP Anyone seen it yet?
Well I finally flew my UCD with the Rimfire and 8amp ESC, and it was great!!!! [:D] half throttle to roll, snap, loop and 3/4 to hover (although I can maintain hover too much) and full throttle if you want some vertical performance... Although Tman said that set-up would be running very hot... I decided to mount the ESC on the outside of the fuselage and cut a inlet hole directly on the batt. and after flight, none of the components where even hot....the day was windy but still my UCD flew stable and fast!!! with the upgrade the plane is the one that flies on the wind not the wind on the plane.... i highly recommend to change the stock motor it is a BIG difference and BIG fun, too-----

Well, because i am a international customer, the Rimfire and the ESC arrived this week, and I am still waiting for the Outrage (can´t wait for it!!!) but as soon as I get mi bipe an fly it, i would tell you (estimate month and a half for that, hopefully less) but I am planing to test the motor on a stand, to see its performance...Did you already fly an outrage??? if you did, hoe does it performs on hovers and low-speed flying??

RE: batt Q for ultrafly outrage
I don't know much of electric hardware, but i had a problem similar to yours and it was a bad soldering work---Have you tried with another batt.??? And you are on a big problem here... i suggest you to post your problem on electric forums to look for a good answer or to visit you LHS for assistance... just be 100% sure that is a bad connection, you don't want to open it apart just to realize that all connections are fine[:@]! Also the ESC can be programmed (if capable) on the wrong way...hope you find the answer and maybe you wouldn´t have to open your fuse...
