RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread
If they do not have the stock HPI part and you dont want to order it and wait, I would see if they have the Traxxas ESC used on the Stampede VXL. The Traxxas is Waterproof. The only issue would be that you would have to have the connectors on the Traxxas ESC switched to Deans plugs or have the connectors on the car and your batteries switched to Traxxas plugs. I would switch the car and the batteries to traxxas plugs, because it opens up the availablity of alot more options in batteries. I switched My HPI ESC to a Traxxas battery plug and it is great!

RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread
Hey Xx one way to check to see if that is the issue, is unplug your steering servo from the receiver and plug your ESC into the steering port on the receiver. Then see if the steering knob on the transmitter will work the throttle. If that works, then you know the ESC is good and the problem is in the receiver. if it doesnt work, then it is probably the ESC. Good Luck

RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread
Good Morning If you are talking about the LOSI XXX-SCB, it is very narrow. My son has one and it would not come close to fitting the Firestorm or the Blitz. The speed controler, battery, and steering servo are all in a line with the reciever tucked in a very narrow channel on the side of the chassis. That is one of the reasons the XXX-SCB is so long. Good luck with that. Keep us informed if you can make it work.

RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread
Hey XxINLINExX. I am new to this Forum as well and to the RC car scene. I am glad to hear it worked. I took mine into RC Car Kings, here in Minnesota (Great Store!), and they were able to tell me why it was doing it. One of the employees there was familiar with the HPI product. Strange though that the E-Firestorm RTR is delivered with a NiMH Battery and the car is preset to run on Lipos. :)-
ORIGINAL: XxINLINExX Not going anywhere lol.... I just went out and bought an Onyx peak charger. I would love a better one but it's all I can afford for now . Made my fist run with it and i love it, though battery died fairly quick.
RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread
Hello This happened to me when I got my E-Firestorm Flux Waterproof. The issue for me was that the car was delivered with it preprogrammed to run on Lipos and I am using NiMH batteries. The usermanual has the directions on how to use the transmitter to reprogram the car if you are using any other battery than Lipos. When it is set to Lipos, the low voltage Kick off kicks in and interferes. Your batteries may be fine, if you are not using lipos. Just reprogram the car using the manual. Worked for me!
ORIGINAL: XxINLINExX First time posting on these forums [:D] Finally received my E-Firestorm yesterday ::woohoo: Charged the battery over night (6 hours per manual). Brought it to work today since we have a huge parking lot to have some fun with it. But seem to be getting interference [&:] on a stand the truck accl/rev fine but when it's on the ground she travel's a couple feet then stops....regains signal travel another couple feet then stops....aaargh! RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread
Thanks for responding. Nothing responds when plugged into the steering port of the receiver. Both the steering servo and throttle work when each is plugged into the throttle port of the receiver. I have tried to rebind. It did not help. I do not know what the endponts of the radio are. Sorry, I'm a rookie!

RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread
Hello all. I am having problems with my new firestorm flux waterproof RTR. My steering does not work at all when I turn the knob on the transmitter. When I plug the steering servo into the throttle port in the receiver, I can turn the wheels with the throttle trigger. So I know it's not the servo. When I plug the steering servo back into the receiver and turn the car on, the wheels turn all the way to the left. Do i need a new receiver? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread
Hello. I am new to this forum. I just purchased a E-Firestorm flux waterproof rtr and love it. It is faster than I was expecting. I changed the speed control battery connector to Traxxas. And am running Traxxas 4200 NiMH. I want to upgrade the steering servo. Can none give me some advice on a good waterproof servo.
