RE: How much can I get for this stuff?
Hi You would probably be better with E Bay or on a forum site! most of the guys that are into this modify them! You have to remember, a non Smoke and sound can be had for about £35 new! so keep that in mind. Also depends on what you paid! Did you have something in mind? Sorry I can't be of more help! Regards Stu

RE: HL Panzer III
Thank you for that Tap don't worry about making anyone edgy! Lol! Healthy debate is no bad thing! It's all in the interest of the hobby. I probably misread the thread!... As you pointed out, they only start to degrade when not in use over a period of time! My Dad was in North Africa, Royal Army Service Corps, attached to the British Eighth Army,He was a Seargent and his job was the recovery of AVF's and the crews for repatriation regardless of nationality, He once told me the tracks on the Panzer were much better than the Allied armour. Best regards Stu

RE: HL Panzer III
Hey there It would appear that my info on the tracks comment about the quality of steel on the P3 is a little inaccurate, for that my apologies! Apparently, on the P3 tracks every third link\pad was of higher quality! information came from Achtung Panzer website! Cannot guarantee the reliability of this information tho. Stu

RE: HL Panzer III
Hi I know you do very very nice work, and I'm new to 1\16th tanks. I appreciate constructive comments too! I would not like to offend anyone, just sharing what I was told! hope you don't mind? Tap asked if the tracks were stainless, but the info I received was that it was a very high quality steel alloy and not prone to rusting! Trying to find the article I read but it was on another forum. Best regards Stu

RE: HL Panzer III
Hi Tap Don't know if it was stainless but it was a steel alloy of some kind! Read an article on it I'll try and find it to verify! It was hi grade! I'll get back to you on it Best regards Stu

RE: HL Panzer III
Hi, nice P3. I have to agree with Tap on this one! Re Tracks mate! Apparently, I read that rusty tracks on a Tank like this would have likely got you shot! Lol! But I wasn't there of course! I did the same with a P IV, and received the same comment! so I repainted them, the quality of the German steel alloy was of such a good grade they didn't attract rust when in use. Hope you don't mind the comment? Keep up the good work Triton

RE: AFV Models
Hey There Derek What happened to the Tiger 1? Lol! Sometimes the Hub caps are a tight fit other wise a tiny spot of CA! Cos you might need to take them off! Auto etch primer is fine, I think a lot of the guys use auto primer! a lot less expensive! I personally prime, assemble, then finish coat them if it's German Armour!.. just remember not to paint over threads or contact surfaces that may need CA! Not sure of the bolt ring? is it a washer? if it is! No glue! Hope this helps, I'm sure others will step in with better advice as I'm a Tank virgin! only being doing it since Xmas and on my second build! Cheers from bonnie Scotland Stewart
