RE: Good Race!
ORIGINAL: AutoXMan
ORIGINAL: Ttam Says Blarg I think that that was great racing. Yes the porsche driver did waste a nice corvette but man the corvette was asking for it. Bumping him in the last corner. Im pretty sure that the corvette was penalized for the pass thats why he ended up behind him. Racing is racing its not always clean and never has been. They were trying the hardest

RE: Belt or Shaft
There is nothing wrong with belt cars. I use my Durga as my daily basher and its belt drive. I only drive offroad. It probably helps that I have an enclosed drivetrain.

RE: How is Grid for PS3?
I was one of the top players in GRID for a while. In the top 75. The game is great on a 360 pad so i assume the ps3 pad will be just as good. The game is insane. Drifting is sweet as is the 24 hours of lemans. 9 out of 10.

RE: Insane speed setup?
ORIGINAL: SIRCC I'm sure the belts will break before he reaches 50mph, I could be wrong.
My belts in my durga are super strong. There not going to break unless you really try to break them. Sheo! That car is gorgeous! Its so pretty and clean! I want to say that Castle made a 9000 kv motor a while back. I would pop that thing in her and let her rip. Do you have a place with enough room to get it going that fast?

RE: what good is the sponge tire?
ORIGINAL: Gex_61 RC cars are a lot smaller than a real car. Tires are just one of the pieces that are designed differently to get the most performance out of the platform. RC's don't have air filled tires; instead you have a rubber tire that is supported by foam inside. It's simpler, more reliable, and more consistent. You can still tune by using different foam inserts. The goal for any tire is to have a balance between grip and wear. RC's weigh less, so the compound of the rubber should be much softer. In a race, they only need to make it to the end of 30 minutes or so. Plenty of grip! A foam tire is a mix of foam and rubber. The lightweight of a foam tire helps with acceleration and braking. Since foam has air pockets like a sponge, it can be very soft and give you some extra grip. Foam tires have several different compounds, and can be used for a number of different surfaces. They are the fastest wearing tire, but you get the advantage of being able to wear them all the way down to the rims versus just wearing the outer surface. That's just what I have found with my own experiences. I've used all kinds of foam tires for dirt oval racing. I haven't done much onroad or carpet racing. Check out this link too- http://www.rc-truckncar-tuning.com/rcfoamtire.html
Couldnt have said it better myself.
