My buddy was thinking about getting a mbx5t but recently saw the article on the new Team Associated RC8T, wondering what would be the better buy. Considering I own a mugen.

RE: - Official Kyosho MP777 ST-R Thread -
Well guys, I recently had a fire in my house, It started next door and spread very quickly. Considered to be a total loss, tons of fire damage and water damage, I lost all of my rc equipment as well, tools, trucks, cars, etc. etc. working on my in-laws mac right now to moderate and email and such. I'll most likely be out of racing for awhile, until I can get my family into a new house, replace all of our furniture, electronics and living essentials. Lost the serpent, lst, 2 savages, tc3, tc4, recoil, muggy, mbx5t, kyosho strr, all my motors, tools, and lots of other helis and trucks and equipment that is to painful and stressful to list. But I did manage to salvage a video of the kyosho burning a tank at a local yard track that I tested her out on before we went to the track all other video was lost in the fire :( [link=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JOlSkrdVPs4]clicky[/link] talk to you all soon. RE: - Official Kyosho MP777 ST-R Thread -
Yeah I'm thinking of replacing the os 28 with the grp 21, I like the rb 21 c6 so much in the mugen, after driving both 1 with 28 and 1 with 21, the wasted power is very noticable, as well as the tank times. whats a good pipe to go with the grp 21? as I don't want to match it up with the os 2060 that I'm currently running. RE: - Official Kyosho MP777 ST-R Thread -
Hey guys, long time, just wanted to let you know I finally got the Kyo dirty :D Figured the os 28 would be too much power for it but it wasn't. Just took abit of getting used to and alittle throttle finess. Can't go past 1/2 throttle on it, don't really need to. Its 1/2 is like Full out open throttle. Anyway she performed beautifully on the track as expected. I love it. Lost the front tank mounting screw as mentioned above. Fixed that since had no problems. Will post pics and vids this weekend. Competition Electronics Pitbull X3 Help
Hey guys I've had this charger sitting on the back burner for awhile simply because the instructions read like caveman. I'm looking for some help to get this charger working on my current 2700mah ballistic packs I have in my truggys. If anyone has some good experience with this charger, a hand would be greatly appreciated. Need help on the settings of the charger for Race day, since I usually slow wall charger through out the week. Need to know Peak detections, amps, volts, and whatever else may be in the single rate menu that I may have to change. Thanks again in advance. TB

RE: - Official Kyosho MP777 ST-R Thread -
ORIGINAL: pklotking Hey 88 put it in the truggy and lets see if you can beat my os .28. I love O.S. engines thats all I buy but you all are right the speed is too pricy for me as well but this is what I am doing I have a stock vspec in my revo it needs a new piston and sleeve and I replaced the con rod two months ago. I am going to swap out the regular con rod with the speed con rod replace the piston and sleeve and then get it modded. It will still be cheaper than the speed version but I am hoping it will run better
I have the 28 in my truggy and when she first got her legs it was massive overkill for the kyosho, it spun the tires on the street, so you could only imagine what she did on the track. after that being said, I had to immeadiately loosen the suspension more so in the rear as to get a better power to weight ratio and get some of that power to the wheels without breaking loose. I'm pleased to announce that after doing so now with alittle finess on the throttle she's alot more managable on the track and rips. I took 1st in yesterdays amain for the first time with her, my best friend with a mugen took second running a picco p3, he's the only one that could keep up with me. TB

Not to mention RBs produce one of the most distictive sounds I've ever heard come out of a motor :D which is way cool. Big head turner at the track.
Yea we trying to eventually get good like the pros, just need the driving and tuning/setup skillz. I knew a little about suspension tuning for onroad cars, but offroad is not the same as far as i can see. I probably wont be driving my truck this weekend and im sending my controller off for a minor trigger issue next week, hopefully it will be back before next saturday. It was fun on the BMX track but all i did mostly at the time was go off the top of the halfpipe turn and drove in the feild. Having engine overheat problems again, theres got to be an airleak somewhere and im not sure where it came from but im not too happy about that with the reputation RB engines have. This time I checked it with a temp sensor instead of the one on my controller.
Pro your running the 928 right? richen it up abit, you should be able to pull massive amounts of power out of that mill by running it rich and blowing good smoke all in all keeping it cool. my os 28 is ripping and blowing good smoke at a 170 degrees, I'm almost hesitant on leaning it more :P TB
ORIGINAL: nascardad24 Try a set of bow ties or even hole shots on the slick tracks. I ran a track in Ohio last year that wasslick, ran hole shots up front and bow ties in back, seemed to work well, but that was on the mbx5t.
I'm running Crimefighters on the Kyo and put the final break in tank on the o.s. when she broke loose and zoned in it was almost scary, but the tires held and the power tracked to all 4 wheels. I was most impressed with them. The LPR's seem to hold up well in and out of the turns as well. I went with the holeshots on the mugen, but have yet to see her on the track. TB
