I have over 50 hours on my test FlySky-GT3B 3ch 2.4GHz and not one problem yet . Seems to a very good radio as far my tests go and the price is very good. I now have ( 4 ) FlySky-GT3B radio's and will be testing them as well . I found after the first few times using this radio it's very easy to program to your models ( user friendly ) I have been using the same test radio in 3 R/C trucks I have and all my boats , gas, nitro and electric . I rate the radio a 9 out of 10 ( user friendly , easy to program to your models, very good range, and price ! I don't like where the put the on/off switch ! Just my 2 cents

RE: friends who dont like my hobby
ORIGINAL: DaveG55 At 15 you're probably starting to think about real cars. Take the knowledge that RC cars have given you and start to apply it to the real world. Sure RC stuff is simplified but the underlying science of chassis design and set up, steering, gearing, etc is very similar. Use what you already know as a basis and soon those same people that make fun of you may be coming to you for repair and set up advice on their real cars. Anyway, this CAN be a lifelong hobby and 99% of the people I knew in school I have had zero contact with since I graduated High School. So, Good Luck and if you like something try not to let any haters talk or intimidate you out of it.
Very well said Dave, I well say that's me and I only talk to 3 people I knew from High school ! None of my friends were into R/C at your age. I had my first R/C car at 10 years old . Nothing like we have today though ! At 15 years old I was into R/C racing sail boats with my Dad slow but fun. At 16 I bought my first real car 1969 Chevy Camaro R/S and it needed work did not run. my R/C experience paid off . I had that car running the next day. My friends all wanted to know how I fixed the car like that. I went on to be a auto mechanic for 28 years . I'm 53 now and I have many R/C toys and some of my friends now think I'm nuts and I don't care what anyone thinks I'm having fun! Keep up with you like and have fun it's a great hobby !

RE: New Waverider mouldings Apache Build
Yes it does. Mart and I have tried to find a way to get them over here and still make them competitively priced. As we found out the shipping cost alone are almost $300 US per hull. The only way around that would be to crate several at once to spread out and cover shipping cost. Even doing so the shipping was calculated at about $100 per hull.<img alt='''' src=''http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/js/fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/msn/disappointed.gif'' />  The build time was generous on my part, it actually took less but then again most of it was ready to switch over from my other hull. It didn’t hurt that this was my 10th or 12th Apache build. I'm including some of the under hood pictures, nothing special… Yes we are very lucky to have such a great club lake to practice and compete on. We currently have about 50 members and will be hosting another District 3 race in November. If the economy doesn’t keep folks away we expect over 150 boats to compete. 67 Stang??? You insult me sir<img alt='''' src=''http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/js/fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/msn/biggrin.gif'' />, She is a 1968 Mustang BB 4 speed
I'm sorry Sir ! [:D] I did not mean to call her the wrong year ! [;)] 67 or 68 are Stangs are my favorite years ! Nice job on the new Apache very clean look in side and out . Man shipping sucks. Big bucks to get that hull here ! $100 beats $300 though ! You should have told me you were getting one, I would have bought one too ! Thanks Leo
