RE: new battery questions
I am charging and discharging at 0.5C for 5 times. Is this OK, especially for discharging? Will this "wake" the chemistry of the battery? cheers

RE: Sebart Wind 110
I had a Scorpion 4035-250 in my plane on 10S and 17x10 TLE prop and it did not last very long, magnets unglued. After that I have put AXI 5220 249kV and currently I am spinning an 18x10 TLE but I think it can take an 18x12 XOAR. Rear support or norear support that motor is a crap. Velco

Mine is solid as a rock at 4,5kg. I will shave 100g just by removing the lead from the back and by using a 600mAh RX batt instead of 1000mAh batt. Velco

RE: Sebart Wind 110
ORIGINAL: gaRCfield Velco, what are you using for batteries? I found that my 10S 4000mah packs weight less than my 8S 5000mah packs, so 10S can theoretically be lighter for the same power and flight time since we use less current that way.
I am using Rhinos 4900, so pretty heavy for a total of 1270g. About what you say for 10S vs 8S you are absolutely right. Velco

RE: Sebart Wind 110
With the rudder servo in the back a correct CG can be achieved even on 10S without adding any lead. I know because I had to ad some 60g of lead at the back to balance the plane correctly. I will move the servo back very soon. Velco

RE: Sebart Wind 110
I have to admit that stock combo is really the best choice for this bird, the only minus is that it is 8S. Still, I am absolutely happy with my AXI 5320/28 on 10S and 18x10. Still, on 18x12 it would be ideal, just would be pushing the motor a bit too much, have to get me a XOAR 18x12, they are a bit less power hungry. Velco
ORIGINAL: kahloq
ORIGINAL: Velco I have never said that APC E props are the best, I just said that they are good as a benchmark. There are props with better performance... performing and probably some 5% less power demanding from APC Velco
I was not stating you said APC-e... of view everything else would be just a waste of energy.
ORIGINAL: Corsair 29
ORIGINAL: Velco After talking a bit to Mirce I figured out that 50% more static from flying weight is really not necessary so I have come up with one more interesting solution for Rim 65cc on 12S (or any other motor with kV around 170 like AXI 5345/18) which... from the filed would be nice. Reminds me very much of Fliton Inspire 90 which was a good flying plane. There are some new motors at HK like the new SK3 series that would make a super cheap combo and for 500$ this would be hard to beat! Velco
