RE: NEW-------E-Flite Tribute Fx 3D ARF~~~~~~
I use a 480 on my 28 oz. Seagull Extra 300, and it rips! A 480 on the TFX seems like overkill. I ALWAYS go for the lightest build possible, as 3D planes fly best light. I'll be pleased if it weighs in at 17 oz. AUW.
ORIGINAL: bigwood212 Is it posible to use the motor, esc, and servos from my typhoon 2 in an e-flite tribute??? or will the motor weigh to much or not fit?
You can get away with using the ESC,but I wouldn't recommend using the motor, and the servo's wont fit. Anyway, after starting this thread MONTHS ago, I'm finally buying my TFX today! Gonna build it light using the E-flite 400, and 3s 1320. I'm taking the gear out of my Lil Banchee, as I think this is a better overall plane. (from what I have seen/heard)

RE: *Parkzone Typhoon 2 -Official Thread!*
Funny you should say that. A kid where I fly just got the T2 as his second plane, and first aileron plane. He originally had the T1, but had receiver issues and the LHS upgraded at no extra charge. His plane does the exact same thing. Out of nowhere it will whip to one side or dive. So far he has done fine with it, and I'm sure he would have more fun without so many glitches. He's going to try a HITEC electron 6 receiver in it and see what happens.

Get an Ikarus Yak 54 Shockflyer! The best flying foamy out there. If you build it right, it will be out of this world! Also, think about buying this motor for it instead: https://www.unitedhobbies.com/UNITEDHOBBIES/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=2069

RE: Recomend 3D Monowing for E-Flite 370
Yeah, and airfoilz is a whole new ball game. It would need a motor around a 450 size. You could possibly try your 370 in an E-flite Extra 260 Profile Foamy. It will be kind of heavy, but it should fly ok.

RE: New Plane!!!!!!!!!!!!
Don't worry, the landing gear mount is fine. I would definitely stay away from coating the mount in CA. The key to having a good flying foamy is to BUILD IT LIGHT! It will fly much better, and adding a load of CA will just be a waste.

RE: Which is better, Depron Or EPP ????
If you know what your doing, then depron works fine. I prefer depron because to me it fly's better, and needs less reinforcement.

RE: Aerobatic plane
Well, I would say go 1 one of 2 ways. 1. E-flite Mini Pulse XT PNP (Plug-in-Play) Comes with servos, motor, and esc already installed. 4 channel. 2. Hobbico Superstar EP- Not extremely aerobatic, but it is a good first aileron plane. Personally, I would go with #2. A person's first aileron plane must be chosen carefully.

Yeah, your setup sounds good. I haven't heard a whole lot about the Rogue, but I think it is one of the sharpest looking Bi-Planes out their.

RE: I'd appreciate some help on a decision...
Your setup sound good, but it might fly a bit better with a bettery like a 3 Cell 1320. The goal is to make the plane as light as possible, trust me, they fly much better, and handle better. But if thats all you have right now, a 2100 should work fine. Looking good though. I'm thinking about buying an airfoilz soon too. They all are supposed to fly really good. I guess the only one I don't like is the Biplane version. I just can't get over the look of that thing.

Which Plane Has More Speed?-MUS PNP, or MPXT PNP?
ok, i;m about to buy one of hese two PNP's. I only fly 3D right now, and want to get a fast sport plane, that handles well. Which of the two fit this criteria best?

RE: *Parkzone Typhoon 2 -Official Thread!*
Well, I would say definitely buy your own gear, that can be exchanged in between planes. This is good because it can be transferred, unlike mostof the stuff in the PZ planes. BUT, if money is an object, then I don't really think you can go wrong with the typhoon 2. It was good before, but now that it's upgraded and problems have been fixed, it makes it a great first 3D plane.
