RE: Low profile towers!
Hello hello. I have returned from the underworld and have brought my post with me :). I finally have a job thank god, and I have a guy who said he would be willing to make the towers for me as long as he can make a profit on them which shouldnt be hard. So I need to find out if there is still any demand for them. May also get him to make the custom tvps I always wanted to get around to but never could. P.S. Thunderbird if your alive lemme know how they help up the last 2 years :)

RE: Low profile towers!
Bashing doesnt bother me its fun and all, but I dont have anyplace to do it since I live in the city. I might keep my custom savage though it depends on how much I make selling my other stuff. Im sure once I find a job that pays decent ill get back into racing I have a friend who wants to start his own track in the area maybe this track closure will spur him to start earlier.

RE: Low profile towers!
As for racing I did go a few times. Infact my last race we had Scotty Ernst as the announcer. Was a great day of racing. 1/8th scale buggy racing is intense and I went all season on my xray 808 without breaking a thing and only replaced clutchbell bearings once. although now I need to replace a few things, turns out I snapped 2 bolts off my wing support in my last race.

RE: Low profile towers!
What do my eyes behold :) Sorry I havent been on much. I lost my job and havent been in the mood for RC latly. Im glad everyone likes the towers. I still havent finished putting my savage back together to run it. I didnt get a chance to finish making my engine mounts or my center tank mod plate at work which is a bummer.

RE: hellfire engine swap
The engine mounts in the hellfire are designed for bumpstart engines thats why it wont fit. You can get a bumpstart backplate for the LRp if you want.

RE: My new savage!
Its not hard to spend $700 on a savage after buying it and putting stuff into it and fixing it and whatnot. I got over $1200 into mine. Of course selling it I know I wouldnt get even half that though.

RE: my truly universal starter box
ORIGINAL: phast46 i dont have a starter box, so what does that modd do? i cant see what the metal thing does.
The metal tabs slide up into the hole where the flywhweel is so its always lined up for the wheel to engage it.

RE: my truly universal starter box
That is definatly a smart idea, wouldnt work very well for me though I need the back end of my car on the knobs so it pushed the box down enough to start the wheel. I suppose though you could just add a small spacer to assist in that operation then it would work just fine.

RE: Official Thread for the Go 21 Engine
ORIGINAL: stz28 My GO 3 port race engine was broken in with 2 gallons of 25% fuel. My local hobby store no longer carries this...just 20 or 30. I usually run 20% for everything else, is there any problem switching to this lower nitro fuel? Thanks.
As long as its the same brand of fuel it shouldnt be a problem, might have to tune it a bit though.

RE: Binding the DX3R?
Also to note sometimes the reciever becomes unbound and you have to rebind it so make sure to bring the bind key with you wherever you take the car.

RE: Installed new Spur Gear, problems.
Crank it tight and back it off 1/8th of a turn is what mose people run or just tighten it up all the way. Check your clutch shoes also they may need to be replaced. One last thing check the rear grub screw on th eoutdrive cup for the tranny it like to come out alot.

RE: Go Technology engine question
ORIGINAL: musclecar64 With my Go 3 port sport, I couldn't get it to respond until over 280 degrees. By then, I couldn't restart it because of vapor lock. Horrible engine. Worst $125 I have ever spent.
It was probably a bad carb issue.

I have an STS .28 or the Mach 427 for it, i just wanna try these Go motors that everyone raves about
It has alot of lowend. Youll need a pipe like the dynamite 086 to give it a bit more top end and maybe gear it higher. Should be fine.

RE: Ever feel like a dummy?
One time after rebuilding my diffs I was putting the front one back in and mistakenly grabbed a long screw for the bottom of the diff case. It took me over an hour to figure out why my front diff wouldnt move, The screw threaded through by the cup and wouldnt let it turn doh :).

RE: Chrome Top v's Truggy Box
The LRP isnt a tight engine. My chrome top turned over my Go tech without issue. There are some steps to take on new engines though Preheating them and wraping the head in foil will make life 10x easier.
