RE: Super Tigre G60BH questions
Nice Find. My two favorite pattern engines from that era were the Webra Blackhead and that Bluehead Supertigre. I've seen them with TST or PDP stamped in the beam mounts. Another one that had PDP was the German HB. Yeah, it may be too pretty to run.

RE: TD .049 mount
Robert, I think it may be home made too, but in the style of the OK mount. As for the engines I've sold off 70 engines since mid-Sept and will be putting another ten up on ebay later today. Still have more to go. I just bid on an OS .25 F because I like the look and always wanted one and did have a .25 FSR at one time but I think the F may wind up a little higher.

RE: Fuel tank venting
I have always used an overflow tank during filling. One time i set my gas can down on top of the overflow tank fill line, pinched it and split a tank open during the fill...[:@]. That time i was doing too much talking while setting up for a flight and not paying attention to my jet. Anything is possible as i have seen someone take off with the overflow tank still connected and sitting on the wing.[:-] V..

RE: Engine Pics and Weights
Good idea, you might want to add a column for R/C or with Muffler because carbs and mufflers weigh more than standard venturi C/L-FF engines.

OS .25 F & .25 FSR
I like the look of the older OS .25 F & FSR engines. The F had ABC while the FSR had a steel liner and piston ring. A while back I picked up a new case and crankshaft for the .25 F and was thinking about building a new engine. I have been unable to find a new ABC piston/sleeve and was wondering if anyone here knew where I might find one. It would probably be much cheaper to just buy a complete .25 F on ebay. Also.......why did OS make these two engines. Was there a racing class for the .25 that would use an ABC engine. I can understand the ring engine of sport and pattern types, maybe the ABC was for boat or car use. What RPM range could you expect from the F and FSR?

RE: TamJets A-4 problem tucking issue
I have owned 3 Y/A A-4`s and they were "snappy" as well. A few years back i owned an Air Champ A-4, its was bigger than anything else out there at the time. Maybe 55" wing with 85" L fuse, it handled very nice with no bad habits. The wing "may" have been slightly larger than scale but not sure. All i know is it was a real sweet flyer and landed slow with full flaps. I had 130 or so flights on my Tams A-4 and was carefull not to get slow in the turns, power all the way thru. Like i have said, only slow down when the wings are level and you will have fun with this jet. I can recall on one flight one of my mains was stuck in the up position. I tried to do a quick pull up to get the one gear down, it worked but the jet snapped and rolled over on its back in a spilt second!!! I righted it and came in with my knees shaking...[:)] V..

RE: QPoxy
I had a chance to use my new tuibes of Qpoxy this past weekend at the field. I knocked loose a nose gear former glue joint on a dorked landing and said there is no way i am going home after only two flights, or making a temp repair that i have to undo when i get home.. I raced home (15min) and came back with a tube of Qpoxy, some tips and a piece of fiberglass matt. I re-glued it and added some fiberglass to secure the former. It dries extremely fast and is rock solid. I got 3 more flights and did an inspection when i got home, all looked good. I am very happy with this glue. V..

RE: TamJets A-4 problem tucking issue
Don`t fly it slow unless the wings are level. Really nothing you can do about it, just power in the turns and ease up only when straight and level. I had a turned up P-60 in mine, the issue with the jet is not more power but just lighter flying weight. V..

I just pulled out my box of NIB Perfect tanks and have the following numbers. 1,2,3,7,15,16,17,18,19 & 20. There seem to be three different colors used on the boxes. The oldest one seems to be a white box with Red highlights, then a light Green and the latest style has Dark Green highlights and stencil style lettering.

Radio System Jacket Patches
I didn't know where else to post these pictures. RS Systems were small, like Cannon and they went into special government projects in the late seventies. The Cannon patch is one of two I had made up to see if Bill Cannon wanted to make them available. Bill has the other patch but we never carried through on getting more of them made. Does anyone else have some patches they could scan in?
