RE: SIG KADET MKI BUILD AND MOD
Actually it "Looks Like" from your pic that you have a Kadet (original Production kit) The Mk II was produced next to include upgrades including an Aileron Option / Addition. The Kadet MK I was a later re-release copying the original, and was again' meant to attract builders with little to no experience and those wanting the Classic Design. I do not think the MK I has the same Sig Craftsman Kit stenciling as shown on your box, and I believe the separate Wing kit / Accessory kits to include Ailerons are still available from Sig. Check this out ...-> [link=http://www.angelfire.com/indie/aerostuff/kadflap.htm]Aileron / Flap info[/link] Nice Site Too" Also Specs for the MK II posted by Khodges Post#3 [link=http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_6351585/anchors_6351585/mpage_1/key_/anchor/tm.htm#]Kadet Mk-II Specs[/link] Dan

RE: KITS
As Stated above for searching the RCU Market, Use the Filters on the left side to select your preferences (See Pics Below) It is a lot easier to Bookmark the page after you make your choices, then add to links bar or favorites. Kits are often posted' but are not properly listed and do not show up sometimes under Kit / NIB, Selecting ALL for Condition helps. Also if you are watching Kits like I do, and an ad is older (2-8 days etc.) you will not see REDUCED listings unless you have selected ALL or PAST WEEK for the DATE POSTED view. (If you are veiwing Todays Posts, and the Kit was posted yesterday' then Reduced Today.. you will not see it.) See screenshot pics, Also I had a Poll in the Market Support Forum > [link=http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_8972339/tm.htm]What 'Ads Posted Date' do You use to See Ads in the RCU Market [/link]

Hi Don, It would be appreciated if you would take pic's of the build you are doing, you can add them here in this thread. You may want to edit the Title from Article to "Build" or just remove the "Article" part all together, after you get all the Doc' of course. Good luck with it and happy building" Dan

RE: Cross-posting on RCU and eBay - is this against the TOS?
ORIGINAL: Lightfoot This is a quote from the community policies: ''If you have an item for sale or auction elsewhere and are bound by their contract to fulfill the terms, please do not post the same item for sale at RCU.''
Hi Howard, Could you give more detail ? in thEbay terms I can see possibly being Bound by a contract. What about the free posting sites such as Kaango CL Kijiji and other RC web boards ? Personally I do not run an ad on here and another rc forum at the same time, I will remove / cancel the ad before posting somewhere else. At current I do have an ad on X and on CL, I ran it here first but many ignored the terms stated so I canceled it (lost money in enhancements) I figured it was a taboo of sorts to post here and another RC site at the same time ?? or am I just being too cautious. Thanks, Dan

RE: How does your wife deal with your RC airplane hobby?
My wife is ok with it as long as I don't build in the house anymore, (still working on my shop) her allergies causes her to get real cranky when exposed to balsa dust and adhesives. She does not Understand the obsessive interest (Her words) but is OK as long as I don't mention it much :) She is however hinting that the bedroom is getting smaller........ :)

RE: Marks models 53
Any chance you could post a picture of the kit and the specs in the Mark's Models thread in this forum ? Is that a built-up wing or foam core ? the 40 size Fun Scale id Build-up with a 51" span but unsure of the 60 size actual specs. And I think the Jemco/Marks Mustang may be closer to your kit, but I belive it had a foam core wing. Check with himikiller on a manual, maybe he can help you find one ??? Dan Z

RE: SIG Kommander
I have a Komander MK-II kit put away, but lost track of the original Komander on fleebay I was bidding on.... :( The Original Komander was an early production run as with most of Claude's designs. Once Sig rcv'd feedback from the builders they would make small changes in the kit, then the MK-II was added either due to upgrades or assembly corrections. With some of the K series and the Foam Cores with built in wash-out it is very important to assemble wing per directions, also helps to mark the cores and shucks on the ends before taking them apart the first time. The wash-out cut into the cores can be affected if the core and shuck gets mixed up while sheeting, I know there is gear hole already cut into them but when sheeted over with balsa they can get confused. Also the cores should be weighted evenly in the shucks when sheeted, using the contact cement & roll method alone can again distort the wash-out. Her is some Pics of the one that sold recently Found on web

RE: Irritating Multiple Offer Trend in the Marketplace
Why not just allow the Seller to post the ad including all details, and not show any responses buy perspective buyers. "A Newspaperized" listing of sorts.. Then buyers only use the PM system or something like it ? Keeping the Invoicing / Payment option private and allowing the Seller to select whoever he chooses as the buyer'. He can then use a Sold Format to reflect final sale price, feedback and to maybe to who if necessary. All is hidden except the Item, its sold price and seller / buyer ratings, also it would require much less resources as there would be no direct replies to the posts.
