RE: ARF's ruined my hobby
ARF..... Well I can't comment on that there's a lot of companies out there trying to out win there competitor so having one person build better that they are is tuffffff BUT hey it can be done. Now the 3D flying I agreed with you 110% I'm 29yo started flying maybe 5 years ago and never did I like 3d flying. Looks just like you said throwing a cat up in the air. But hey people like that kind of flying, you know what I get of people flying that crazy?? That the components on that RC can take a beating and I myself love quality products! I'll stick with my simple flying and perfecting my landings and take-offs thank you very much. 3d flying does look cool though.

RE: Battery question
ORIGINAL: BarracudaHockey You can leave it on but MAKE SURE the antenna is all the way extended. Won't take two days, I had to put a lipo in my 9C because it would need charging at the field during a good day of flying. Did you see what I said earlier about replacing the batteries?
no I didn't see it but got to it right now.. Ok I'll just get new ones, I'd rather get it than to fix the whole heli. :-/ so leave the radio ON with antenna extended. What's the difference with antenna down or up.

Does anyone have a good idea how to drain a 9.6v radio battery? I have the BR-2000 but that's only made for 4.8/6.0/7.2v NOT 9.6v. Is there any other way but leaving the radio ON. That might take a day or 2. :-(

RE: Battery question
Unfortunately yes they been sitting for 4 years :-\ but cant do anything about it now. Cycling the battery means to drain it and charge it again right? I did some research and found out that these NiCD batteries need to be fully discharge for storage. Am "cycling" my batteries right now as i type. Am going to charge it fully and then drain it before checking the max Volt it gives me so i can store it till spring.

Battery question
Hello everyone i've had my raptor 50v2 sitting for 4 years and want to get her on the air again for this spring coming up, what would i need to do? Last time i used her she was perfect flying wise, i drained all the fuel out the engine and battery was pretty full. i know it must be dead by now. The battery on the radio still has some charge but i know is dead. My question is do i need to get new batteries for everything? Or are these batteries good to reuse? The radio (T9CHP) has a nickel 9.6v-700mah battery and the heli has nickel 4.8-1000mah. And no i didn't store the batteries in the freeze to hold the charge, i should have but i didn't know that info. till recently Sorry but am clueless when it comes to batteries :-\

Is there any other canopy that would this heli? Thxs for reading everyone

RE: Radio handling problem...
Thxs for the reply guys i will try connecting it sraight to the Rx but if the gyro failed wouldnt all the servo be messed up as well? When the chooper fell i did a little research right away tryin to fegure out why she fell by turning the power on and moving the controls and what i saw i pridicted in mid-air, tail servo does not move at all... I was like Dam!!! i would think i would've been the reason why my heli. falls but nooooooo ended up been a servo.... Grrr!![:@]. Its not pilot error it was mechanical. And about the thumbs and pinch method i decided to stay with thumbs all the way, feels alot betta and if i try hard enough i think i can make a pricision turn [:D]... thxs all like i said before i will trey to post a video clip but i havent had any free time but will soon.

RE: Radio handling problem...
My Raptor just has fallen[sm=crying.gif]... Lets all take a few moment of silent and remember all the good time we've had together[sm=sleeping.gif]...................... Well this is how it happened i started the heli warmed her up for about half a tank with quarter throttle after thAT hovered it for a few just to get that feelig of it again since the last time i flew it was a year ago. And then took of flew it straight doing fegure 8ts and circles and a few hovers at high altitude, then a cop car came out the bushes and stood there just lookin at the heli i thought i was gonna get in trouble since i dont have no ama card and also because i was in a back yard of a pre-school in Long Island, New York(brentwood for thouse of u who know) but the yard was huge and no one was in it i was all caged in with my girlfriend and a couple of friends behind me, oviousely. But anyways he was just a spectator so i was relieved i hovered some more and then he left and then it happend the servor for the tail died on me!!! Dont know how but i was hovering and the heli did three 180degree turns with out my command i was like "oh NOOOooo!!" trying to recover and BOOM! hit the ground side ways... Not alot of damage just the main blades and fins and the main boom bent thats it!.... I was wondering what the hell happend so i turned the switch back on and the radio and moved all the servo and just like i said before it came down the dam! servo for the tail went deal it didnt move at all... everyother servo moved exept that one. i havent check the heli. yet but when i do i'll let ya know... i'll try to post the video here. OH i got it on camera [:)]... thxs all

Radio handling problem...
Sup all, Was wondering is there any problem when u use ur radio with ur dumbs only? Because i use my dumbs and i feel coftable like that. When i try(in my G4 sim) with the pointy finger and dumb i get a little dissoriented. Is there any problems that i use my dumbs insted? Oh another thing my Raptor50v2 hasent had any flights for the past for the past year what are the things i should look for when i start her up? Well i actually did star her up to see if she still feels the same but it was in my backyard and i was just priming the engine (get fuel throw the engine u'know [;)]) i found smoke which is good and also a little spit of gas? out the exhaust while addle is this normal? other than that everything feels the exact way i left her a year ago... Today am flying her hopefully everything goes well, Oh am also trying my new blades [:D]... Now i have wood blades but i always had a carbon blade just there because people tell me if i crash and burn it would hurt the heli alot more with the carbon so i thiink am conftable enough to put the carbon on so hope everything goes well... Thxs alll i'll HOLLA later....

Well I bought my self a new battery for my raptor50v2 since i havent flown it since last year so i guessed batteries are dead. yesterday around 12am i charged my Heli batteries and should be takin it off the outlet at 12 or 1pm today. My problem is that theres a 15 to 25mph wind advisory outside and am sure that if i go in a open field is gonna be 25[:@] ... So my question is can i fly? or should i hold for tommoroow...

Batterie problem
OK here goes my problem i have a savege ss 4.6, i have a 5cell 1.2v 1400 NI-MH battery to run the truck. Now how long would i need to charge this battery at home? no fast charge just a conventional outlet. Am asking because i have two of these batteries and i think i killed one because i had it in the truck for just about 6months without being used and when i got to charge it (i usually charge it for 5hrs thats what the hobby guy tould me) i turned on my beast and i was all happy because i havent turned it on for a while and BOOM the tham truck starts to turn slow untill it goes dead. I know is not the servo because i have a 90buck airtronic in there and i have barely used it yet. So what can the problem be?? the charge?? Any help would be greatly appritiated. thanks
