sonic racing 64" VICTORY CAT
I am now a very proud owner of a sonic raging 64" Victory cat. I went to sonic racing HQ and met Danny (great bloke). I was like a kid in a candy shop. If you have ever been to danny's and seen the work he puts into these things and the metal work he does I think you would agree that they are worth the money. I was blown away! I'll post pics soon

RE: new paint for apache 56
Hi Chombo, first of all wellcome to RCUNIVERSE. No, I didn't make the intakes. They are actually from my KOS (king of shaves) that i got a long time ago. All i had to do was to take the ply bottom off them and sand them to fit the cowl. also a bit of a dremal to the inside of the scoop for better air flow...Then fiberglassed them in . You should be able to buy the scoops from the venom site. But i would suggest you buy from a site that sells better scoops. MHZ is one of many. Hope this helps, have fun painting your apache. Keep us informed with it.

RE: Now my turn! what do you think?
ORIGINAL: saucySavy I found new big bore shocks on ebay for $85 and cheap shipping, you guys think i should go for it? i already have bad o-rings in the shocks i have now, so they leak. what do you guys think?
saucysavy, I personally would go for them at that price. i think i got mine for around the $140-$150. I know what ppl mean when they say 8 shocks look meaner but after a while them BBS do look tough. I've had mine for a while now and i love them. I have also heard the LOSI LST shocks work well too. Just a thought.....

RE: Now my turn! what do you think?
ORIGINAL: moezer
ORIGINAL: Watsy Moezer, yea i agree they do look mean but when it comes to workin on the truck IMO it just take way to long. I think hpi put 8shocks on the savage so when ppl see the truck they tend to think it is going to be alot better than four. I personally think... and thats what i think make this hobby so interesting. So many different designs regards, watsy [/quote

RE: Now my turn! what do you think?
to improve the overall control of the savage get a set of swaybars (excellent while under breaking), big bore shocks. no need for 8. and to handle the power from your new engine maybe 4 bevel differential conversion set and heavy duty clutch shoes..... i put steel disks on mine and i do have to say that it stops so much better now. But i have to say that its looking nice. well done.

RE: HPI BULLET 3.0 MT
ORIGINAL: llkoolskillet I have the MT2 and its a great truck! The Bullet is basically the same truck but with 8 shocks and MT tires. You could make one out of the MT2 and there are plenty of upgrades for it too. I tried to put savage tires on it haha. they need to be a little smaller then it would work.
so all the upgrades from the MT2 fit the bullet?? that sucks that america doesn't get the bullet, i wonder why that is? i really dont understand it.... would it cost to much to get one from overseas shipped to your residence? in getting mine from sydney (rchobbies) for $399 in a few weeks and they ship O/S. should check it out... anyways more info would be great. thanks guys.

RE: savge xl vs losi xxl
I am pleased to say that i own both of these rigs. Ihave been a savage owner for years and just recently got a xxl. from what i can see wit the xxl this is a bloody great truck. i love it. but i also say the same thing for my xl. with a few needed upgraded parts and i dont mean goin full alum these trucks will withstand a pretty good flogging (to an extent). here in AUS parts are easy to get. hpi would have to be the easiest. all i can say is flip a coin, pull a name out of a hat. either one you choose you will b happy with. let us know what you decided. have fun[;)]

merry christams to me
I got to start the break in process with my xxl today. I no its only the break in stage but from the sound and the look of this m/t i can tell im gonna have some fun. i had to lean the low and high from factory settings. the xxl was just running way to rich and very hard to start, and the pinch at t.d.c. was crazy. Apart from that with a little adjusting it held a good idle and didn't miss a beat. i cant wait to tune it more as the piston gets more seated. im gonna try track down a 454 for the savage xl soon enough. i love this truck. does anyone know if there is a assemble manual for this truck? merry bashing everyone
