RE: A new 4wd 1/18 by WWS-Racing
Dont worry about Tigger, Pro, he may come off alittle rough but he is an alright guy. Anyway if I do get one I think Im gonna send it off to my chassis sponsor EITS and see about fabircating a custom CF chassis for it. The stock chassis looks plenty stiff mind you...but Im crazy for that carbon fiber look.
ORIGINAL: Tigger N. Bennie If so, you will need to disclose that information. How is that beta Nomadio. As a warning, if this turns into a "SELLING" thread, it will be deleted.
Sure Tigger, and about the Sensor, I finally got my production unit alittle while ago Bennie. Its working without a hitch..however even we are still waiting for the V2 transievers. They say very very soon.

RE: A new 4wd 1/18 by WWS-Racing
Im definatly interested in buying one of these. While the idea of buying spare parts from Germany is intimidating..I love that design. Im really into micro racing, and I placed second to Trinity's Dave Graboski in the United State's East Coast Championship. If you guys would like a driver here in the states you can definatly have one in me. gravityholt@hotmail.com

RE: uh ohz I need help!!
Id buy a new shell and try again. This time on the inside. Truth be told Ive heard there are a few ways to remove the paint from an RC once its painted. But Im not sure it would be worth the hassle, plus I bet most of those methods would leave the outside of your car looking cloudy and the finish would be ruined anyway.

RE: Krylon clear as overcoat for Faskolor???
Ive never tried Krylon but id be worried about that interacting with the faskcolor is some odd way...like melting it or somthing lol. Anyway what I have used and liked very much is Faskcoat from Faskcolor. Its this pink milky like substance that dries on smooth and does a great job of protecting the paint.

RE: Best Airbrush Air Compressor?
I purchased an industrial grade one or two gallon compressor from Home Depot with regulator. While it worked great it scared the bejesus out of me whenever it kicked on..LOOOUUUUUD as hell. So anyway I got tired of that after almost a year...and got the second one from the top here http://www.airbrush-depot.com/scripts/depot.exe?pgm=compress.bbx It isnt silent but its very very quiet and effective. Comes with a regulator and moisture trap. The price is also a fair middle ground between the budget hardware store buy and the expensive silent air option.

Hi, nice work but I dont know if its the focus or just the fact that you use them (which is a good thing) But the finish looks alittle dull?..did you paint those on the outside or the body or the inside?

RE: How much paint for the money?
At first I used alot of paint..in other words. I wasted alot of paint. After awhile yull get the hang of it and yull begin to realize just how much you need to do what you need to do. However no matter how conservative I am with Paint I always end up using up alot of black and white; since they are my primary backing coats.

RE: East Coast 1/18th Scale Championship!
Ok Race Fans here's the scoop on what's been going on. First I have to say BIG THANKS before the race even starts to Castle Creations, Trinity and Kyosho for the Primary support, not just in materials but sending out top notch pro racers to race with us and share their knowledge and maybe make new connections. Also most of our other sponsors will also be in the house. Tekin, URC, One18th. I have not heard if Nomadio will be there but we are getting the Sensor system. One nice high tech radio system. Associated is also taking care of us for the race, Last I recently was told there's chance they might come now. There was a conflict but maybe it'll change. How awesome would that be? Team Associated and Team Trinity IB Spyder vs 18T head to head in the DIRT where they belong.... Latest Big News Team Kyosho came on board to Support the event. So with their support we've added a class to half 8 and they are now full classes in the event. There is the open class which is as it was stated nothing has changed there. We've added a spec class which will be (Stock Electronics, 8 2/3A cell bat pack max, Kyosho XSpeed Motor, Any Oil Shocks) so if you are interested in Spec Half 8 there's a new version of the registration form on our website www.pottbellysrc.com with the new classes. I heard some rumors on the threads about Mag coverage of the race. We have been guaranteed one of 2 Magazines will be there. I'm hoping for both. They both came in from different directions at the same time. So I'm going to make sure all is cool between them before I give names but they both said they would. So we WILL have coverage. Just ironing out the details. Friday Night we're having an Open Buffet Party at the track during evening practice. It'll run from about 6 or 7 till we wrap up Friday night so you can bench race with the guys or practice till you pass out.... LOL.... OCTOBER 15th one week from tomorrow is the cut off for the free tires from GQ Racing. We finally completed testing them and have what we feel is a good combination that GQ will provide for Micro Racers registered before the 15th. October 25th is the cut off for Early Registration. Right now the Open Half 8 and Pro Mod Micro classes are the largest. Both starting to fill B Mains. Pro Mod 4wd truck has almost filed the A. Surprisingly we've had No 2wd truck entries to date. And the one sportsman class entry switched up to PRO. So surprisingly we have no Sportsman class entries in any vehicles. Mostly Pro Mod Entries and Half 8. We do have a couple open 4wd truck and open micro entries. This does not count a number of entries I'm told are in the mail. And does not include all the sponsors’ entries. I should have those soon. Once I get all the sponsors listed I will post a detailed list. One cool thing about registrations so far is we're really no longer the East Coast Championships. The west coast came on board and now with the Canadian entries coming I believe it bumps is to intercontinental have to check that...now all we need is one or 2 from Europe, and Asia we could call it the WORLDS... There’s more to come I will keep everyone posted. Our Sponsors are a lot of fun to work with and have some cool fun ideas for stuff.

RE: East Coast 1/18th Scale Championship!
Attention all 1:18th Fans.... I just got a e-mail from Competition R/C. They are the US distributor for GQ Racing Products. GQ has a new line of 1:18 foam tires. For Every Entry recieved before October 15 They will give each driver who enters a micro class a free set of tires. 1 set per driver not micro entry. .Paid registration must be in by October 15th. You can check out the GQ products at http://www.comtetition-rc.com/GQ.htm They have a lot of cool stuff there. Also more good news Nomadio makers of the Bad boy of Bad Boys DSM radios is putting up a new Nomadio Sensor Radio System to be given away. You can check that out at http://www.nomadio.net I'm trying to get some confirmation on Entry hadnouts for the offroad now. As soon as I hear back I will post it online. Also we have decided that if we get 20 Early Registrations for the Half 8 and Mini Monster Classes we will enter them as full classes not exhibition. Rules won't change they will remain run what you brung classes

Looks like the Mazda six for the onroad section. Unless I get another M18 to run in the unlimited class..then Ill run one of my homermade bodies. Offroad my Mini-t will be using a Silverado shell and my Half eight is going to be using the Proline crowd pleaser. Hope to see you guys there. Its gonna be a blast.

RE: Half-8
Id look into getting Oil shocks, bearings for the hubs (Mini-t bearings work) and alloy knuckles (check ebay). Aside from that the car can handle the Mamba power no problem. Gear it low..like 11 or 12 teeth.

RE: Is Miniz Extinct?
Kyosho has shifted thier distribution operations. Before they distributed thier stuff to North America only through Great Planes aka Tower Hobbies. In May Kyosho opened up a warehouse in Cali and is distributing thier product directly from there. Thats why you are seeing so many of Kyosho products dissapearing from Tower. Check out www.kyoshoamerica.com and email them to find out how to get what you want.

RE: Painting White Rims Chrome?
If you do paint your wheels chrome, be sure to keep it off the bead yull use to clue the tires..else the tire will not adhere very well to the wheel. Regluing sucks.

RE: Spektrum module range sucks in M8
I never said 3000 ft was practical..I just said its possible. His complaint that his AM gear was out performing his spektrum module in the range department just sounds as if his spektrum is malfunctioning in some way.

RE: Spektrum module range sucks in M8
Sounds like there is a problem with your unit. Though I do not own a Spektrum module, I had heard they had a 3000 ft range. I run a Nomadio Sensor radio and the range on that is farther than I can see. AM should not out perform the DSM..

RE: How well do chrome paints hold up?
It sticks alright. But Id only use it in pin-striping because it will come right off in a good impact. Ive seen people use it in large sections around the wheel wells and after abit of racing all you see is clear lexan. I figuer if you only use it in pinstriping you dont have much to lose.

RE: Looking for long distance radio
I dont know if this will help. But at our race track we use a wireless 2.4 ghz camera system to monitor the races. Radios equipped with the spektrum modules do interfere with the video system. When ever a spektrum equipped radio is turned on the picture goes fuzzy. On the other hand when I turn on my Sensor radio from Nomadio there was no interference. No snow on the screen. Range wise..I can not give you the exact figuers but you might want to check out the Nomadio thread on this forum and ask them yourself. They seem very thurough at answering questions of a techinical nature.
