RE: Transmitter Stick Mode... Your preference
I just like having the Throttle and steering on seperate sticks,I can drive smoother this way. I find if I have throttle and steering on the same stick control becomes jerky. But thats just me not being very dexterous.

Hi all. Did some more weathering today, this time with pastels/chalks. What do you think? RE: Tamiya KV1 speed adjustment
Absolute genious idea! I think the only downside is the amount of torque that can be applied to the tamiya gears, making them easier to break. This would be a great mod for a HL too, they are faster than tamiya's in standard trim anyway.

Thank you all. I was kind of worried I had over done it,but the more I look at it the more I like how it has turned out. I wish I could claim that I planned it to look like this but I had no idea how the paints would go and look once dry. Thanks again, very kind. Steve.

RE: Progress on my sherman.
Thank you. I did some more weathering this weekend, this time using oil paints, which is a completely new way of doing things for me. I sealed it all first with a few coats of Klear and then did a couple of very light dustings with the aribrush with very thinned down olive drab. Then I have given it some very thin washes with the oil paints. I'm quite pleased with how this stage has gone,I did not know what to expect, but it turned out ok. Need to do some pin point washes next to bring out some more of the detail then maybe some highlighting and more light dusting to lighten it up a bit. RE: Asiatam Panzer 3 and Stug 3 Metal hull at RC Command
Great video,I think it demonstrates the suspension quite well.It certainly looks to work as well as my Tamiya Sherman. Anyone who owns a standard Panzer 3 or Stug 3 will know how much the difference is from watching that video. I like the way the rear depresses when it moves off from a stand still. Cheers.

RE: Progress on my sherman.
Hi guys. It's been a very long time since I updated this thread and I apologise for that. I had not done an awful lot to my Sherman until the last couple of months and have now moved on a fair bit. It's still as yet not finished but as you will see,it's getting there. Anyway there are quite a few pics to put up so I'll get on with that. These first ones are from a while back but I did'nt put them up on here for some reason. Basicly it's power and DMD switches and charging socket under the front hatches. [image]http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e192/steveneill/100_1398.jpg[/image] [image]http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e192/steveneill/100_1403.jpg[/image] [image]http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e192/steveneill/100_1406.jpg[/image] Loaders hatch [image]http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e192/steveneill/100_5564.jpg[/image] [image]http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e192/steveneill/100_5560.jpg[/image] [image]http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e192/steveneill/100_7056.jpg[/image] [image]http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e192/steveneill/100_7054.jpg[/image] [image]http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e192/steveneill/100_7053.jpg[/image] [image]http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e192/steveneill/100_7186.jpg[/image] [image]http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e192/steveneill/100_7191.jpg[/image] [image]http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e192/steveneill/100_7189.jpg[/image] [image]http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e192/steveneill/100_7190.jpg[/image] [image]http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e192/steveneill/100_7193.jpg[/image] [image]http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e192/steveneill/100_7194.jpg[/image] [image]http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e192/steveneill/100_7196.jpg[/image] [image]http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e192/steveneill/100_7197.jpg[/image] [image]http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e192/steveneill/100_6012.jpg[/image] Aiming stake stowage. [image]http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e192/steveneill/100_7458.jpg[/image] Thats where I'm at so far.Still in the middle of weathering/painting. At the moment I have been using pastels for for the weathering along with attacking the paint with an abrasive pad and a finger! I still need to finish the pastels then I will seal it in gloss before any washes etc.Sounds like I know what I'm doing, but believe me I am only copying what others have done on this and other forums. Sorry for the long post but I thought the best way to update my progress was just to put up pictures. Cheers, Steve.

RE: Asiatam Panzer 3 and Stug 3 Metal hull at RC Command
I am considering getting one of these hulls for my Stug 3. I noticed in some pictures that the rear idler is fitted with a bearing,is this the same with the road wheels,do they have bearings, or are they just on the axles? If anyone is prepared to get some detailed pics up of thier hull and maybe some of thier instalation it would be most appreciated.

Can you get hold of another transmitter and try it? May be the transmitter. Sounds to me more of an electronic problem if it's driving forward/reverse ok I can't see it being mechanical.

I've been through this forum several times and have gotten some great ideas. Great picts. & vids. I'm making mine electric as I don't like the mess and complications of fuel. Three blade prop, no prob., plug in elect. & go. Starts hands off. Love my electric 8' telemaster. Thanks guys for all the great info. Unbelievable plane for the price. I'm looking at BH models for my next project. Tried mounting my cowl with magnets. Hope it works. In the process of building gear doors as per your blogs. They really look cool.
